I have been taking 70 milligrams of vyvanse daily sense the beginning of August of this year. I have noticed very big appetite changes when i take it. I can normally eat breakfast and take it then but by the time lunch rolls around food just sounds disgusting. So I have not been taking them for any reasons besides ADD and I was curious if the weight loss is anything to be concerned about. I have lost about 10 pounds sense August but I only weighted 135 then. Now 125. Is this very unhealthy or something that can be tolerated

A healthy weight depends on many factors. What is you age, gender and height?

Your main concern should be getting enough overall nutrition. If you are underweight and/or malnourished, at times you'll have to eat even when you REALLY don't want to. A good wholesome protein shake can be a good breakfast/lunch substitute that's quick but ensures you get some solid nutrition in.

^ I agree there is no weight that defines you as healthy and no amount of weight loss that is unhealthy for everyone. I know a bunch of people who lose weight when taking amps for a few weeks or more. As long as you keep a balanced diet you should be cool.

When I started taking Adderall I noticed a 5-10 pound drop in weight over the first few weeks. I wouldn't worry too much, for me at least, it seems that after a month or so, your body somewhat stabilizes it's metabolism to compensate for the lowered food intake. In other words, you might loose a few pounds to begin with, but you will reach a sort of "equilibrium" point where the weight loss will stop. Also, as time goes on, you will find it easier and less horrific to eat while on your vyvanse, adderall, dexedrine, whatever.

Over all, tolerance will build up and change many aspects of the drug. Give it anywhere from a few months to a year. Also, the major concern with rapid weight loss is associated with the toxic compounds and ions that build up in fat tissue. Metals and non-polar junk loves to accumulate in fat... Normal exercise and diet allows for a slow, steady weight loss, allowing for your body to break down all that shit. However, if you loose a bunch of weight all at once, your bodily fluids will be rushed with all that shit, causing it to accumulate in other fatty tissues (i.e. your BRAIN).

I'm 17 and male. I don't really feel worried about it. especially because I have heard of other people loosing weight from it. I just have no idea haha
I love vyvanse so there's no way I'm going on a lower dose :)
