Ultram...

I looked on SL55 and Get Up Kids' site, not
listed (as either Ultram or Tramadol).
Phreex said to look for a narcotic or benzo
classification to tell if you had something
worthwhile or not. Tramadol is neither, but
a few articles state it works in ways
similar to narcotics. Few even listing
euphoria as a side effect.
If this stuff is worth doing?
If so, what is a decent starting dose for a
person with no experience outside of benzos
or opiates?

For me, Ultram is not much of a recreational drug. I usually keep a few pills around and actually use them for what they were made to do. It is a long acting painkiller and I find that Tramadol works very well for killing a migrane the day after a long night of using (fill in the blank).
I take 25 mg and then if the pain persits, I supplement the Ultram with a Darvocet or something similar. Not to bust your excitement, but Ultram really isn't a "fun" drug. However, others may disagree with me.

I've found for 'shallow pains' <Scrapes, burns, small cuts> Ultram does the job. For 'deep pains' <twisted muscles, broken bones, stabbed in the eye with a sword> It's narcotics or nothing.
For recreation file them under the same category as Wellbutrin...Worthless to normal humans.

I actually do get a small enjoyable buzz out of it, certainly nothing to stock up on and gobble like candy. But not a bad "out of good drugs" buzz on occassion.
For me to feel any effect I have to take at least 200mg, though I never take more than 250mg. This stuff can lower your seizure threshold so if your prone to seizures I would't take it.

ive never received a "high" from TRAMADOL, but was never really looking for one neaither..it was always because i was coming off of NUBAIn at the time..
i have taken 100 mg of TRAMADOL several times, and it didnt get me high, but more DROWSY and IRRITABLE for some reason..
not exactly a WRECK drug IMO..

I personally believe that this drug was created for doctors asa means of having "a pain killer" to give to scripters ... some people claim they catch a buzz off these, personally, they can help your sore muscles after a long night of dancing, but not much else...
