Cocaine Uh oh?! help me really quick? Hit artery with big shot of coke?

So I went to hit a "vein" on a different spot than usual on my arm cause I wasnt getting good registers on my usual ones. I tied off found one on upper arm and registered really solid. I started to push the shot in and a lump started forming, so I pulled back again yet still registerd, shot the rest, lump still there, but it went away with a little rubbing.

I still didnt feal my shot, and I noticed another lump where my wrist watch was on my wrist, it looked like it had been pulled back and was cutting off that vein, so i removed it and got a FAT rush, but there is still blue brusing and a lump where the wrist whatch was. My whole left arm went numb tho from where I hit the shot down.

I think I either ruptured the vein cause the wrist whatch blocked it, cause there is blue all along the track the vein takes. I really hope this is the case and not me hitting an artery. Please respond . And if I did rupture the vein what is the wrost case scenerio and what should I do.

If you got high, I don't think you hit an artery.

It sounds like you ruptured the vein. You should stop injecting (hopefully in the effected vein, but all together for now or for good is a stellar idea), and let it heal. It will likely need a few days to a few weeks depending on the gauge of the needle, the damage the cocaine did to the vein, and whatever cuts were in the coke.

It should self-repair on its own, but like I said, because of stuff like cuts, you may get an infection. The only way to find out is to wait and see what happens. Read the IV complication mega thread, look at the problems that can arise, learn the main symptoms to look for, and watch out for it doing these things while it's healing.

youre good man you didnt hit an artery. it sounds like your watch was constricting the blood flow and the shot clogged your vein a little. when you hit an artery its bright red blood and might even leak into the needle on its own. when you hit a vein and check the blood its dark red. always register. be safe. theres an obvious difference in color of the two.

sounds like your alright.. a little paranoia from the coke maybe? not saying you're looking over your shoulder every second (which you SHOULD ) ) but maybe enough paranoia to worry about the risks you're taking shooting drugs? as you know the consequences if you fuck up, so you exaggerate a little prob into a bigger one, maybe? just Chill tho. you're good. until you wake up tomorrow in the hospital missing an arm

As others have said, it doesn't sound like you hit an artery but it sounds like some damage was done. There is a TON of good information in the mega thread, and if you still have specific questions after reading it feel free to post there.
