Opioids tylenol 4 question(s)???

The son of a friend of mine stopped by a month ago. He pulls out a nice blunt (he's 23, so no biggie). About half way through he says he came into some Vicodin 10's and would i like to sniff some, of course i do!!!! He hands me the pill to crush and i knew right away it wasnt a "10". So i google it and sure enough its not a 10 but a Tylenol 4 which is 60/325. Never seen them before in my life. I knew he has no opiate tolerance and mine is very light these days. So i knew we had to go easy. I crushed it, we did it, 30mg each. We waited a spell, smoked a bowl and we did another pill. 60mg each now. Hes a big kid, over 250lbs and he said he didnt feel a thing, i didnt either and im 170, i was waiting for that opiate rush, but nothing. He tossed me another pill and he took off. I waited about an hour and did the last pill i had. 120mg total in may be 3 hours and i felt absolutely nothing.

Long story for this question....why didnt i feel the "rush"????? Im absolutely certain as to what we were taking. I havent done H in almost 6 years. Hadnt done any pills in 6 months or so. Yet nothing, may be just tired. I used to be on Naltrexone but stopped about 3 months or so ago. Could that be the reason, could it still be in my system and blocking the opiate?? That doesnt cover my boy though, he felt nothing either? The weed may be??


Im curious because i did it to get high, i used to be able to take 5 Vic 10's and get a nice buzz. 50mg and i felt great. but with these things i took 120mg and nothing. What scares me is someone not feeling that high they're chasing, they take more and the opiate piles up in their system and bam, they dont wake up.

Lol i can answer this very simply. You didn't get high because.... Exactly what you said, it was a Tylenol 4! Maybe if you ate 10 of them you might catch a slight buzz, along with a nice stomach ache. But no way in hell ur gona get a rush from them. What you doing opiates anyways for? =) If u were on naltrexone then u must of had an issue with them in the past right..
 
Oh yeah and congrats on 6 years away from boy, im going on a month and i thought that was a long time lol
 
Thanks Dboy.....well I od'd on h/alcohol combo in 2008 and died for a bit, they brought me back, i havent touched h or a needle since then. Im "somewhat" careful of the amount of opiates i take now. Snorting pills is purely rec. and i only do it a few times a year. Im basically down to weed and booze now.

good to know the 4's are a waste. but wouldnt the amount of opiate just continue to increase to the point of od'ing if not careful??

oh and i was prescribed the Naltrexone more for alcoholism than anything....

Jesus, dude. It has paracetamol - you don't tell people to take over the recommended dose at all for paracetamol nor ibuprofen. OP, learn to do a CWE (Cold water extraction) to extract the paracetamol from the codeine and drink the liquid as a result. Tylenol isn't a waste, but it's certainly going to do damage if you just consume the pills - and it's even worse if you snort them, considering they have fillers and whatnot as well. 120mg is usually a good starter dose for people, but it really depends on your cyp26d enzyme efficiency. For my first dose I took 240mg and it did next to nothing. It varies, but take it slow and take it easy.
 
Thx Noz....actually im quite sure that was my first and last time with 4's. To much dope present with no buzz....not my kinda thing. They were free, so the junkie in me said why not.
 
Wow well im glad to see your still around and kickin! Most people that od and die for a little while are right back on the junk the next day. Glad to see someone at least has their head on straight, or some what straight at least =) but the 4s are just 325mg APAP and 60 mg codeine. Of course you can get high off the codeine with little tolerance but youd be eating too much acetaminophen to achieve that. But as for oding on Tylenol 4s? Not sure if its possible but if so its rare enough that i never heard of it

I know naltrexone blocks opiate effects but when u drink alcohol on it, doesn't it get you very sick?
 
LOL! There is so much filler and apap in those, I very much doubt that 60mg codeine was absorbed through your nasal membranes.

not sick at all man. its kinda hard to xplain the feeling it gave me, or didnt give me. i just felt ho/hum about drinking. like it didnt give me the euphoric effect i was seeking so i was just like, fuk it, whats the point of drinking. I stopped taking it....got back on the booze hard, health started failing me, so now i smoke weed and drink abound a 6 pack a day.

quitting h was a bitch though. physically i kinda eased into it and got through it. mentally was tougher for me. I went to NA for 4 years, but i was still drinking tons and felt like a hypocrite going to meetings 5 days a week, lying to my sponsor, etc. so i just quit going to meetings. Ive been in and out of AA for almost 20 years. i quit going there as well. i learned a lot, but truth be told, i like my lifestyle of drinkin and drugs, wouldnt say proud of it, but ive come to terms with who and what i am.

thats alot of codeine though it seems like u would feel sumthing from that.u can feel effects from less codeine than that amount.maybe it waz just light and u didnt notice the buzz cauze it mostly just felt like the effects of weed smoking.

anyway, i'll answer: what you said is what i thought as well. shoulda felt sumthin, but didnt. this is not the drug for me and im not searching for another. if sumthin should walk through the door, then i'll consider it.

60mg is about 5-6mg morphine; so it's really not that much. If you're ever interested in it, then pursue a CWE. I can tell you how to do it easily and safely via whisper, especially since a lot of the information floating around the internet is unnecessary and tedious for such a simple procedure. It's good that you don't have interests in pursuing it, though, and I commend you for that; especially since alcohol and opiates/benzos are a bad combination, which I'm sure you know well and truly by now. :)

i steer clear of benzo's these days as well. the worst detox of my life, way worse than any heroin wd ive ever went through was a couple years ago. when i was coming off of booze and benzo's, i was in ICU 4 days, total detox was, i think, 12, then off to my last rehab i went, nearly died from that one.

yep, beer and weed for me....lol.
