Anyone else like this show? Its a sketch comedy show that used to be on comedy central, got cancelled after 2 seasons I believe. Friend of mine just got both seasons in a dvd box set, this is one of the funniest shows ive ever seen. It def appeals to the more inebriated mentality. If you never saw it its about 4 cyborgs that control everything that happens on earth, and they infiltrate humanity in hopes of stirring chaos and studying the findings. These comedians are genius, they have so many different characters, all of which are complete space cadets. My fav characters are either Bong Boy, or the redneck guy at the end of this clip:

I have seen it, but a loooong time ago. I dont even remember any of the sketches. It was pretty funny though. Maybe I should get the box sets.

this show rules im tellin you all

this one is from their made up drug that they do in all kinds of episodes, Supercool, its like the most addictive drug with the mos tpotent high ever (comes in pixie stix packets and u snort/eat it). This one is about people going to jail or rehab/NA for supercool.

a lot of their jokes extend over many episodes, its a lot funnier if u watch like 4 or 5 episodes in a row.

^^^ He's right it's definetly worth checking out if you have an open mind about what you consider comedy. It's definetly a show that takes a little bit to figure out, but once you get the premise and have seen a couple episodes there's nothing funier IMO.

yea the ass pennies skit was excellent.

I like the ongoing joke about racism vs astronauts. The episode where they have the baby fighting tournaments, the new mom in the neighborhood is like "there arent any astronauts in our neighborhood, are there?" Also all the ninja throwing stars episodes are pretty funny.

im trying to dig up an episode with the fraternity brothers, theyre hysterical. All they do is go around singing "I get nocked down" by Chumbawumba. Theres sort of a few spin off characters from them when they do the high school kids, and they have the hockey team and wrestling team guys. The one kid in the high school (wearing a misfits shirt, no less) flips out on the jocks and tries to kill them all with ninja throwing stars. The true beauty of the show is just how many damned different characters/personas these comedians can invent and get into.

hahahah holy shit I knew there was one sketck I wanted to mention in my post, and ass pennies was it! "Every day for the past 11 years I've stuck 30 dollars in pennies up my ass, I use them for everything, cab rides, movie theaters, groceries..."

I'm obsessed with the UCB.

They also have a comedy theater in my town where I get to see them perform live improv for free every sunday. For all you LA cats, check it out: www.ucbtheater.com

One of the best things to do in LA IMO. Cheap or free comedy every single night of the week? Right next door to a dank italian restaurant, sushi, and a bunch of bars? What the hell are you waiting for?

Texan - "So this is a New York City bar. Tiny ass Porto-potty"

Bartender - "Hello sir may I help you?"

Texan - "What where you doing back there? Feeding your pet sewer alligator"

Bartender - "No, I was washing my hands"

Texan - "Yeah! I would too. They carry disease"

Bartender - "May I get you something to drink?"

Texan - "You aint got any neon signs in here boy. How my supposed to order?"

Bartender - "We have a beer and wine list"

Texan - "I didn’t come here to read damnit. Give me a Budweiser"

Texan - "You bess put that beer back in the can where it was born. Hell pouring beer in a glass like thanksgiving came early this year"

Bartender - "the only beer we have in a can is Guinness”

Texan – “Well give me some of this genius beer doc crock. Friend of the mole men.

Patron of the bar taps Texan on shoulder

Texan – “What the… I didn’t see any sign that said gay bar when I walked in here”

lol and the cyber novel dude is from another episode too. i cant remember exactly, but theres some like vegan cafe where some chick flips out about her dairy to some old hippy vegan guy who is reading a cyber novel.

I went last night to the UCB to see the greatest hits of their F'ed up and Illegal Videos show. Now I can never say that I have not seen a woman putting live eels into her vagina, nor can I say that I have never seen a man eat out a pig, or a rap group made up of mentally challenged individuals. I feel so so dirty. I wish I oculd unsee some of the things I saw. Yet, it was perhaps the most hilarious two hours I have experienced. They got Paul F. Tompkins to guest and they all just made very inappropriate jokes over the videos. Most ridiculous night ever.

But, I do agree that anyone in LA should go and check them out. They do actual improv shows, which are also insanely funny, all the time.

ive heard this show come up in many discussions with other comedy afficionados in my age group.

i remeber the timeslot sucked, being right after southgpark and forcing me choose between SNL or UCB

speaking of SNL, it was also the worlds first introduction to amy poehler that im aware of

totally original ideas packaged with absolute zanyness

Yeah i just scored tickets to see the TITTE' brothers do a live show on a floating iceburg in the middle of the arctic!!!!

There's also a lot of great shows that have nothing to do with the UCB cast whose comedy styles vary widely. There's something for everyone, unless you happen to be a person with absolutely NO sense of humor whatsoever.

I used to love this show so much. Very off the wall humour.
