I caught this last night and laughed my ass off! This show is funnier than fuck, and adds a silly twist on otherwise lame makeover shows. (While You Were Out, Trading Spaces, etc)

The scenario is this:

5 gay guys are ultimately given a mission. Sometimes it's to get the hetero guy's house spiffed up so he can ask his girlfriend to move in with him, or clean up an average looking working class guy so he can propose to his fiancee, etc.

The 5 gay guys all have different areas of "expertise"; Grooming, Food & Wine, Fashion, Culture, and Design. One of two of the guys take the straight male out shopping for clothes, furniture, dinner ware, cologne, haircuts, etc. While the other ones stay at the house and completely clean, remodel, and paint everything.

Later, the man of the house returns for some last minute preparations on how to make dinner for the lady, suave moves, etc. The lady then arrives, and the straight male and his girl wine and dine, all the while being monitored via video by the 5 queers in a seperate room.

The things they say, and the comments they make are fuckin hilarious. One of the guys is very physical and flirtatious, sometimes making the straight guy uneasy and awkward. It's very funny, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Although I am queer, which might bias my opinion. All the straight folk (who are admittedly all my good friends) have absolutely loved it. What a hoot! Definetly two thumbs up.

although i support gays in all civil rights..although i have no problem with gays on tv... no matter how funny some instances on the show may actually be for entertainment value...

i think this show is worthless and much as everything else on TV..

I don't really know how i feel about gays on television. Blacks have been stereotyped and exploited for their "street knowledge" and also for any situation that could be "comical"

i have the feeling gays will portray a heavy level of comedy on tv, but you won't see any dramas or anything like that...

just something else to entertain the average consumer--hetero whites. nothing more..

the fact that white/black cop paring in movies is overabundant, the fact that every black television show is either a comedy or a relation to how hard "ghetto life" is... really deters me in my determination of whether gays on tv is a good thing.. Not b/c i oppose gays on tv, just b/c i think the stereotype will be exploited for the almighty dollar and will still leave the mass not really educated about that particular culture

Ok, any queer eye fans notice that Jai is GONE? He's replaced by like another dude, i loved jai, anyone know what happened to him? Is he on vacation, please say he's not gone for good. Anone know??

He is! He's so awesome! Carson's annoying, kayan is just evil cause he's so good looking i dont want him to be gay, Ted's cool, cause hes geeky, and Thoms cool, i want him to redo my house!

On another note, AG if you're talking about yesterday nights 9:00 show it was a rerun and Jai'll be back next week on the new show, don't worry!

I didn't hear he was gone, do you have any links to a story that would support that?

If you are refering to last nights episode, the black guy who filled in as the "culture specialist" was only around for the first 2 or 3 episodes before Jai replaced him.

I just saw a story yesterday on msn. com that the black guy is suing the show's producers because he feels left out of all the fame because he was replaced, and he was left out of a book deal they recently signed to.
