Orange county choppers

Well I think that American Chopper is a bad ass show. It's my favorite show on TV right now because of the fact that it's so awesome. Despite other good programs on at 10pm on monday, OCC is the best.

who is your favorite person on the show?

Who would win in a chopper fabrication challenge; OCC or westcoast choppers (jesse james)?

Who would win in a fist fight, little paul or vin?

there is also a drinking game with this show. Drink everytime you hear:
fabricate (fabrication)
powdercoat
what not
fender
size 12
you can add more if you want.

Anyone else like this show? I hope so cuz it's bad ass.

I really hate Jesse James, the guy just seems to try too hard. Plus his bikes are not as good as the OCC bikes

My favorite persons on the show are Mikey and Vinnie, Paul and Paul Jr. fight too damn much. I have seen a few of Jesse James' bikes in person and none of them seem to be of the same caliber as OCC's theme bikes, but I don't know if West coast does theme bikes like OCC does. I am really not too enthrawled with Monster Garage, I'd be more interested if Jesse was building choppers instead of changing cars into golf ball collectors ( woopie-doo8) )! I really like "American Chopper" because they build some seriously sick bikes. A while back Discovery ran " The Great American Biker Build-Off" which I really enjoyed, maybe even better than "American Chopper". They featured alot of the premiere bike builders in America with maybe the exception of Arlen Ness. Names like Dave Pierowicz, Indian Larry, Roger Bourget, and a few others. Arlen Ness is still in my book far and away the best, he broke the ground for most of the rest with maybe the exception of Indian Larry and Dave Pierowicz. All of those guys have been around since dirt, they have fabricating and riding custom Harleys since waaaaay before Harleys became cool again.

WHats your favorite theme bike OCC has built?

Mine's a tie between the Fireman bike and the Vietnam vet bike.

I still really like the Black Widow bike, the POW bike kicks ass too as does the fire fighter bike, but I think my favorite was the bike made to look liek a jet with all the rivets and stuff. I forget the official name but that bike kicked ass.

The only one that I didn't think was that great was the NY Jets bike

You took the words right out of my mouth. I am getting so sick and tired of Jesse James's attitude - he has certainly become a bit too full of himself.

The guys from Orange County, however are just too much fun to watch. The way the Father is constantly ripping on his son never seems to get old. They also make much more unique bikes imo.

Also, check out some of these video outtakes - these arguments are so over the top I think they didn't make the actual show - funny as hell!

being a racecar fabricator and mechanic, it would be nice to actually see these "fabrication" shows give a realistic idea of what building vehicles is like.

It's not a shop full of whiners and crybabies and arguments, sure there's the occasional difference of opinion on how something should be built, but all these shows, monster house included all base the show off of the dramatic, "will they get it done in time" "who's going to get in a big yelling match next or maybe even a fight" or "who's going to be made to look like an idiot on TV by some pissed off coworker badmouthing you"

if you want to know what fabricating really is, go volunteer to help out at a local shop that specializes in what you're into, you'll learn a whole hell of a lot, shops always need extra help, and you'll see that any shop worth half a shit works like a well oiled machine, because all these bumps in the road that make for dramatic TV would lead to a shop that won't turn a profit.

OCC and West coast are not even in the same category. OCC puts together nice bikes. Jessie James creates nice bikes. The only creating Paul does is his little drawings that he sends out to other craftsmen to make for him. Jessie's bikes are his creation from the frame to the forks. He can have an attitude all he wants. He does some sick stuff with not only bikes but cars as well.
I like quite a few bikes that OCC has done, but sometimes he seems like he gets a little carried away. For instance..the jet bike....the cross hairs on the forks and the little missiles under the head light to me seemed retarded . Same with the Black Widow bike, imo he got a little carried away with the chrome webbing. I admit it was tight, but it didn't need to be all over the fricking bike. However i think the comanche bike was sick as hell. The rims were off the chart. They looked exactly the real tail rotor and blades. THey both put together some sweet bikes but as far as fabrication skills go, no one in the occ shop can hold a candle to Jessie. The day lil Paul bangs out a bike from the frame to the tank, i'll change my stance. :)

Some parts pauly sends out to other people, but certain bikes, he has done a lot of the fabrication. He is awesome.

Me favorite bike is the fireman bike.

Justin the painter really is fukin incredible and deserves a lot of credit on these bikes. the work he did on the POW bike is incredible...justincredible. Also the gold leaf on the firebike with the shading is awesome. He deserves a lot of credit, cuz his work is crazy.

I usta live in Orange County , NY, and a lot of my fam still does. they said that he can be seen cruising around town on his chopper, and that he is really nice, and signs autographs for the kids and even invited my cousins to the shop. He's the man. Everyone on OCC is the shit. Mikey, Vin, Pauly and Paul, eddie Campo, christian...even Cody...they are all kick ass.

OCC would kill Jesse anyday of the week...even Sunday. Recognize that shit.

they do some nice stuff, when they aren't arguing.

i don't get the fascination with "choppers" though.. why not a regular motorcycle ever?

because regular motorcycle aren't as cool looking! and not made by jesse james! I'm a chick. I have no clue what they are doing with most of those tools and whatnot. But I fucking love the OCC crew and all the bikes they make. If I had a good driving record, I'd be tempted to buy a bike.

i personally liked OCC till they sold out to AOL doing those commercials... now everything on that show looks like an act... :\ I personally like Jessie James... he seems more realistic...

^yeah cuz jesse james isn't a sellout with his ultra drama show and autozone commercials

but being a sellout is all the rage these days

I didn't intend to be an ass and glad that you stated your opinion cuz the aol occ commercials are a lame waste of time and money

sorry if i took your post the wrong way kyle. I have yet to see the auto zone commercials.... good thing i guess eh? ;)

they're basically Jesse James tryin to look cool in his flat black merc/ford coupe pulling up to autozone, probably to get some light up winshield squirters
