the newest law & order incarnation... in this one you see the trial through the eyes of everyone involved... prosecution, defense, jurors, police, defendants, judges and so on.

this is the show jerry orbach let the orginal l&o for and only got to film three episodes of and it also includes orbach's son as a role. it premeried last week (nbc) and did reasonably well and will be on friday in the 10pm slot.

will it go the way of law & order: crime and punishment or will this spin off actually work?

i saw the first episode of the two aired and i wasnt very impressed. it was slow and i will try it again but so far im not 'sucked in' or anything

ok i just actually sat through this load of shit show. it had the worst acting i have ever seen, which was made even worse by the cheesy, sappy, cheap sentimentality. It was the worse kind of "tv drama". It shouldnt even really be called "law and order", they just borrowed the name to dress up a crappy courtroom drama that should be playing on "lifetime" network after old movie-of-the-weeks and oprah reruns.

in a word: crap.

i am now wordering why they released a new show when both the orginal l&o and criminal intent are actually down in viewers

that show is actually up 8% in viewing ^

and i also dvr all the episodes on usa in hopes of finding ones i have not yet seen

i am a law and order junkie. really. i try to catch 2 episodes in the afternoon. I watch at least 3 episodes at night. give or take an 'off day' that is around 30hrs every week. SVU is my favorite, followed by the original. Criminal Intent WAS my least favorite until i watched an episode of Trial by Jury. it was aweful. poor acting, poor storyline, and an AWFUL ending. because i am a just person, however, i decided to give it another shot. the second episode was almost as bad, not as bad, but nothing special.
i don't know how they can even call it 'Law and ORDER," because there IS no order...just law. the best part is the order. As much as i despised the first two episodes, being the hypocrite that i am, will still probably watch it. because as i said, i am a law and order junkie.
