Please help to settle an argument between my mum and my auntie. Who is or was the best character in this long running UK TV soap?

I think it's Fred Elliot ('Ah say ah say' etc.) but they're not convinced.

To me Fred Elliot is the personification of Beef Wellington.

I was turned on to Coronation Street a few years ago at my lake, I see it from time to time so I can usually stay pretty current on the story lines if I want to. Since my experience is limited I'd have to go with Daniel Baldwin he's so self centered but a shrewd business man.

I remember when you were born. Is it so WRONG for us to be together now? I watched you go from a baby to a toddler to a primary school kid, to the fully grown woman we know now.
