I checked this out because Ron Livingston is playing the lead, and this new series seems to be headed down an interesting path? If you don't know what it's about, basically, some years in the future a crew of 8 head to space on a voyage to venus. the voyage is to last six years, and some members have to leave loved ones behind and some are haunted by their pasts. so far, the episodes have been explained mainly through flashbacks of when they were on earth, so it will be interesting to see how the writers manage to sustain interest once the backstory is all told and they're left trying to make interesting new things happen for 8 people on a spaceship for 6 years.

personally, i think whatever space accidents and schmaltzy shit they have in store will wear thin by the second season and probably be finished before this highly billed series goes anywhere worth remembering
