Court shows

I LOVE Judge Judy. I love watching the morons go on there and act as though they can get away with their stupid cases or stupid defenses and lying. It's hilarious because it's as though they've never even HEARD of her or have no idea of how she conducts court. People think she's mean but she's just funny to me.

I sort of like to watch Judge Joe Brown but I don't like that show as much, but I found the new people's court to be entertaining. I know there's more out there like Divorce Court and exas Justice, whatever the hell that is..

Am I the only court show junkie!??

No court show can compare to the king of court shows

NIGHT COURT!

the new peoples court is semi amusing... especially when the judge all of the sudden starts going back to her (forgive me if im pickng the wrong ethnicity here but i believe...) puerto rican roots and goes off all 'ut uhh baby' :swings neck around: on the liars

ah see what happens when youre stuck in bed?

oh my god, I noticed that too.. LOL I didnt know what ethnicity she was, but whenever she gets mad she suddenly has an accent. Funny.

She's Cuban. Puerto Ricans don't speak spanish. (no offense - New York joke) I like Judge Judy and Judge Mathis for their mocking abilities.

Cuban? How did she get into America.

What, there are sanctions against exporting fine cigars, but not annoying ladies?

I like Judge Judy, but my favorite is Greg Mathis. I love his show becuase he clowns on the litigants and lets them argue with each other during the case.

The chic from Divorce Court is good too.

Also, I don't know if it's on anymore but Power of Attorney was good too. That was a show that had actual lawyers represent the people suing each other. Marcia Clark and Chris Darden were on it with some other lawyers I don't remember.

I watch the People's Court just about every day. (It's right before Judge Judy). What's entertaining is when you see people you actually know on national television....once there was a big promoter/dj for parties here in the NE on the show suing because he wasn't paid for spinning a party...amusing...

Peoples court is my favirote next to Judge Judy. Judge Joe Brown is ok...but sometimes he goes off on his lectures which I just don't agree with. I also tend to disagree with a lot of his rulings and not understand how he came to them. But yeah..I'm a court room tv junkie;)

add me to that list.

marilyn milian is kinda hot. (the new peoples court) she'll tell someone if theyre stupid. i like that

greg mathis does mock the people. i think its hilarious.

judge judy needs no comment, she doesnt need a last name, just "judge judy"

joe brown, eh, i dont care for him as much, but still watch it when its on.

divorce court is alright, a step up from joe brown, but i dont like it as much as the first 3 above^

texas justice is funny as well, i just dont like his accent all the time

***stupid questions alert***

are these real court cases and courts of law? if so, how do they pick which cases get to be on these shows? lets say the defendant is ordered to pay the plaintiff $250 for whatever reason, what is making the defendant pay?

i know very little about how the US legal system works and even less when it comes to the court shows 8( please enlighten me?
