City of Men opinions

I saw this recently in the shops, its like the sequel to city of god done as a series drama.Worth buying?

Is it an American sequel? City of God was excellent. Does the sequel have anything to do with the lives of the people portrayed in the movie?

No its the same producers that made the film, I dont know if its a sequel because the lad that plays 'Lil Dice is in it playing someone else...the back of the dvd said it lived up to the standard of the film, but who knows?

city of men is the continuation the story started in city of god. it is a brazillian tv series, not an american knock off, that reunites the creative team behind the movie.
it has the same feeling as the movie with quick takes, and the blend of still shots, film and animations.

and it is now showing on the sundance channel starting last week on the 4th and i assume every tuesday night now at 9 pm est.
