TV: Bob Saget: That Ain't Right

I was very disappointed, I'm glad I didn't pay the $40 to see him when he came to my school earlier this year.

I was disappointed as well. I've never seen or heard him do stand up before, so I guess I was expecting too much. :\

maybe it was just the episode of Huff that had me, but he is entertaining as hell as a drugged up fuck up. so despite your bad views fellow bl'ers, i will check it out.

Panic and Frizz hit the nail on the head...

My op: It has its moments, to be sure, but it seems like he was trying too hard to be edgy, and the picking on one audience member shtick--all in good fun, but still--really got old. Having never seen his other stand-up routines--and in his defense, he's been doing it for a long time--I don't know if he has better material out there. I hope so.

Still, I laughed pretty hard at the "Where the fuck were you all when 'Dirty Work' opened?" line after everyone started clapping.

Absolutely terrible. Horrible. Worst stand-up routine I've ever seen, bar none.

However there were a couple funny parts, only one of which I remember.

I think he was saying something about his daughter back talking him, and he replies "I'm Bob Saget BITCH!"

It definitely had its moments. I didn't mind it. It just seemed like half the jokes were crap, so he continuously had to keep talking and spewing them out to make people laugh at a constant rate.

i was watching this on tv with some friends and we all thought he kinda seemed like he was fucked up cause of the way he could just keep talking on and on and on without stopping.. maybe he's back to sucking dick for coke?

I thought it was pretty damn funny.

I have an open mind when it comes to comedy though.

I dont try to over analyze it or whatever. If its funny, then I laugh.

It seemed like Saget was trying to be dirty for the sake of being dirty, and sucking at it.

You hit the nail on the head.

Almost all of my favorite comics are dirty, but Saget seemed to try to make his act extra dirty (how many times can you say "fuck" in a sentence?) for effect, and it didn't work. We get it Bob, your nothing like your Full House persona...now actually tell a funny joke!

I watched this last night. What a fucking waste of 57 minutes. The guy has no routine at all. He just tries to say the most vulgar things that come to his mind and follows it up with,"Oh,that was just wrong." That was the entire show! He will never escape being the dad from Full House and the host of America's Funniest Home Videos. Instead of spitting in the faces of those shows,he should be kissing their asses. If it weren't for those two shows,he'd be sucking dick to get a gig during open mike night. If this show had moments,I must have missed both of them when I went to go take a piss.
