Ice Cube is the executive producer, so i highly doubt he would allow it to be some stupid trivial ass pointless reality show...imma watch it

Hopefully people will get schooled by this shit....what better way to learn what its really like than to walk in someone elses shoes?
 
ok, just watched it, I'm pretty pleased. Bruno, I'm embarased for, but I guess they picked an average middle-aged white guy. The black guy seems really angry, but I would probably be too if some douche at a bar said that shit to me, or if Bruno kept up with his "positive outlook" stuff.

That said, Bruno *can* be correct (some of the time). When you get shitty service at a restaurant, sometimes its because something has gone wrong. When a salesman greets you and asks if he can help, sometimes he really does want to help you. The black guy seems like hes out to proove that he justified in being pissed off, and Bruno is acting like he feels guilty for having prejudicial feelings, but as long as nobody is getting lynched, its ok to pretend everything is ok.

Don't get me started on that flake, Rose. The black son looks like Matt from nip/tuck when he's disguised. Its kinda creepy.
 
That black dude is a tool. Bruno needs to stop using the 'N' word, I think he's just taking advantage of being able to. That young white girl couldn't pull off being black to save her life. The older white girl did pretty well, but she still looked like a freak - I mean I would think she had some fucked up skin condition to go along with her blackness if I met her. Anyways, should be interesting to see where this show goes. I want to see some black on white racism, because that shit happens just as much as white on black racism and its just as bad but everyone seems to want to focus on blacks as the ones to be prejudice against.
 
i missed the first episode even though i was planning on watching.
the make up is indeed creepy looking for the most part but a heck of a lot better than the old films like the one where the guy turns black to play basketball.

im also excited for ice cube to be the exec.
ill be watching the next one because i think this has real potential to be eye opening. the concept is there just make the follow through exciting.

I just saw that shit on rerun last night for the first time and i dont know if i ever been put through so much pain watching a show in my life.

You know how realy bad singing just makes you wince and cringe like you wanna crawl away its jus tso bad?

I felt like that about 5000 times during the show.

I have never seen such stupid, retarded, closed minded, ignorant ass people in my life. THE YJUST DONT FUCKIN GET IT!!

The white family had me wanting to throw up. (this was the second episode BTW.)

I been around black communities and i been around white communities and i seen ignorance from both but i have never seen some white people like those fuckers on the show before.

In Jersey and New York even the preppy ignorant white people still got a degree of knowledge about shit as a basic part of living in a extremely mixed area you know?

The family on that show made the whitebread-ass people here look like ghetto veterans man.

I aint here just to rant like "damn white people suck" that aint my point and that aint what im getting at. I was just so totally disturbed and outraged by the stupidity of the family on the show. I couldnt believe that someone could be that sheltered. Maybe I am sheltered cuz of being used to being around all peeps and not usually bein around white people who are all segregated like that. I seen blatant racism no doubt, but this particular brand of ignorance jsut blew my fuckin mind.

And the white mother was SUCH A FUCIN BITCH!!! The black mom was kinda bein a bitch by holding a grudge against the white one for some dumb shit she said (callin her 'bitch' because "I just thought that was a affectionate thing that black people say to each other!") And she shoulda just been like, damn thats one dumb white bitch, and brush it off and laugh at it instead of gettin all offended.

And the white girl? What a big whiney pussy. I aint gonna start on her. At least she TRIED, out of all of the white family she made a attempt to understand and get into the project, but she is still a complete flake who acts like shes freakin 12.

I aint got my thoughts organized on it really but i almost wanted to turn it off sometimes because i jsut couldnt bear to hear that fuckin stupid white bitch keep talking, and the father Bruno is just a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE prick.

The black family the son especially didnt get so much attention, i guess i missed the first episode maybe they showed them as white in that one, i dont know. But the black family really wasnt showing the ignorance that the white family was. They were just there like....yuuup...doin my thang.....whatever....the dad was pretty cool....And just letting the white family proove over and over again that they were ridiculously ignorant. And the white family had NO TASTE or CLASS at all! the shit they just came out and said was ridiculous! I dont mean "non-PC" shit, i mean like Bruno asking if black men really are more 'endowed' and shit like that. NO FUCKIN TASTE! they were so amazingly rude. fuckin horrible. clowns, assholes. like curious tourists observing wild native savages on a National Geographic trip or some shit, disgusting.

Yea i wouldnt know i aint seen the first episode and the second one seemed to be all about the white family and the black guy didnt seem too much of anything, happy or sad, chill or asshole, just kinda there. but theres more for me to see yet apparently
 
they are both set in their thinking for the most part about how the other race sees their counterpart- may it be stereotypical and rude, insensitive and non seeing the racism around them, or whatever may come up in the future episodes.

and yeah burno is annoying and rude. the white mom goes completely overboard and acts like the only time she has ever seen a black person was on 227 or the steve harvey show.
the only one who seems to have gotten anything (so far from the second episode) is the white daughter.

I prefer the black son. He's in it to have fun. Compared to everybody else in the show, he's cooler than a polarbear's toenails.
 
i havent seen much of the black son since he really was only shown giving dirty looks in episode two.

the white girl was actually struggling with some sort of inner conflict, even though it was more self centered than racial, about being part of the class and why she wasnt as good as everyone else, etc.
at the same time the moms are arguing about bitch and burno thinks that he has just been right all along and there is no racism.

she was in awe of the poets in her class and told them her mind while the white mom was qualifying all of her compliments with comments like 'you beautiful black creature' and buying dashikis. that is really not getting it or getting past what you think you know in light of what is in front of you. perhaps it is just trying too hard or maybe it is just being so blinded by previous thought.
 
^^When the mom did her poem i was fuckin MORTIFIED. shit was so fuckin offensive and stupid ....and i was crackin up at the dashikis to church shit. LMFAO. shes freakin clueless. and shows no signs of understanding anything.

I did get some good laughs outta the white daughters "freestyling" doe. her poetry was so lame.

But ona side note, that one black chick in th epoetry group who kinda looked like Eve and Ciara mixed together, she annoyed the shit outta me too every poem she said sounded like she was yelling at her ex boyfriend. overall i think that beat poetry shit is pretty lame but man, she really took it as far as being the way-too-into-it annoying bitch who you wish would just shut the fuck up.
