Air crash investigation

I love this show, have any of you out there been watching this documentry series. IMO the best documentries i have seen for a long time. It is so interesting to see why and how things go wrong in commercial aviation these days, and let me tell ya if you aint been watching, it doesn't take much.

The two worst i saw where the 757 that had duct tape put over its sensors for altitude and airspeed when it was being cleaned and re-fuelled and the 747 that crashed into the sea of the east coast of the US when its centre gas tank blew the front of the plane of. The rear section flew on for about 4 minutes before slamming into the ocean.

horrible way to die.

The first series was shown on channel seven at about 1030pm on either a Monday or a Tuesday, i think. The new series has just statred on Fox so i would guess it is not too far away. Tonights episode was on the Mid air collision of a DHL courier 757 and a Tupulove from Russia carrying mostly kids to Barcelona for a holiday.

There are so many things that can go wrong with air travel, i am surprised there are not more accidents.

the worst one i saw was the swiss air disaster near Halifax. It actually crashed near where my family have a cottage in Nova Scotia and rthere is a monument to the victims at the shore there. The father of one of the victims moved to Nova Scotia from Switzerland to be near his daughter. It was so sad- so many things can go wrong on planes. Linus Im surprised you watch this considering you are going on a trip soon!!

Just saw the episode on The Concorde crashing in France. What a terrible way to die, some of these people had been saving for 20 years to go on this flight. Kind of makes you wish you had spent your money on something else.
