Thank you Tranced for the thorough response. A couple more questions - Does the drug build on itself over longer periods of time. For example - if I did one small bump per hour for several hours, would I eventually k-hole (which is not what I'm currently looking for).
No, you shouldn't. You should only k-hole from doing small bumps if you keep stacking the peaks. Usually when I attempt to k-hole I have to sniff consecutive lines every 20 minutes~ at least to build on top of each other (I like to work my way slowly into k-holes with small bumps). Obviously this would change with bigger lines, but basically, if things start to get fucking bizarre, slow down. Unless you develop a penchant for the weird, that is.
Small bumps shouldn't effect your memory too much. Alternatively, on a k-hole you won't remember much. So keep things low and you should remember. I only listen to electronic music, but I'm sure live music would sound amazing. Ketamine can make music sound a bit weird sometimes, but loud systems kind of eradicate that problem. It's nice to alter the music. It definitely sounds better towards the weird end of the ketamine spectrum. It's got nothing on say LSD or MDMA, but it will sound altered, and good. Especially when mixed with one of the aformentioned drugs. On low doses you can definitely socialise easily. Higher doses impair speech and can cause temporary speech impediments until the peak wears off!
With regards to day time use, ketamine is beautiful in the day time. It gives the world a nice glow. It shouldn't make you exhausted like weed does. If anything it can give you a bit more energy to keep you going... or it can send you off to sleep, if you want. It can really work with you in that sense. I'd say that if your body isn't physically exhausted, you should be fine.
Why is it good with MDMA? Well what do you do after you're finished your MDMA (apart from sleeping/taking more)? You sit round wired, coming down, waiting for it to wear off. Ketamine creates a whole new experience. Ketamine and MDMA is gorgeous, and it really makes those few hours of waiting intresting. It removes the comedown, and allows you to sleep afterwards. It's just a brilliant combo.
And the post somebody made on another forum? Well, they're right, with regard to going heavy on the dissociatives. If you k-hole you have a chance of walking round like a zombie and then potentially interactiving with people/tripping over guy lines/falling into tents/passing out in the middle of an arena. I've seen this happen countless times, and I've also been the one doing it. Personally I've never experienced/heard of any problems resulting from this, but this really is a common occurance in the UK and people expect it. If you're in America (?) with far less frequent ketamine use then people might become a bit more freaked out (especially if the festival is of the less alternative variety), and I guess you could get yourself into shit.
However, you've just made two posts on bluelight with the specific intent of reducing the chances of that happening. You sound fairly sensible to me. Just do small bumps and you should be fine. If you have the right attitude you shouldn't experience any problems.
Actually, thinking about it; with regards to my initial advice, it's probably best to
just stay in the campsite the first time you use it. Forget about the walk. Generally if I'm walking around like a ket zombie it's because I slipped into a k-hole whilst walking about. If you're sitting down you should simply melt into another dimension, one whereby guy ropes and normal people don't pose much of a problem.
