What am I to look for, in regards to a reliably safe solution of Tropicamide for IV?

I'm not looking to buy in bulk, just a small amount, to fool around with.

Also, a note of any extra precautions to take with this substance would be greatly appreciated.

I mean the 2% solution, .5% etc.

Do I need it by itself, or are these solutions adequate?

I've always had this thing for anti-cholinergics/deliriants, and other than Datura, this seems to be in the upper levels of that arena. I'm having a supremely difficult time learning about it, I can't seem to find an effects list anywhere.

Reopened after a little tweaking at the OP's request.

"In addition to krokodil, other homemade drugs made from non-prescription drugs are also being used increasingly. One of these, tropicamide, is an anti-muscarinic drug used as eye-drops and prescribed by opthalmologists. Known to produce psychiatric side-effects, including suicidal ideation, the drug is often sold as a street drug by pharmacy workers for a tremendous profit." (Opposing Views Article )

And here is another thread from bluelight which the OP may have already seen.

Whatever you do, I hope you are not planning to inject this. From what I've gathered, the effects can cause psychotic breaks and suicidal ideation. This does not sound recreational in the least. OP, I know that you like "dark trips", but why don't you consider some other, more widely used psychedelic's. DMT can definately take you out of this world in a very freaky way, but it's relatively safe, and short acting.

I am having trouble finding trips that I like, people seem to be geared towards finding cheerful uppity drugs (naturally) so things of my preference are not generally listed ya know?

Indeed the consequences of overdoing this drug are harsh, I just don't know how to search for substances with effects most people wouldn't like.

What kind of 'trip' are you looking for? Someone mentioned a "dark" trip... help me understand what kind of trip or high ur after n maybe I can halp

Form what little reports I've read on tropicamide abuse, it sounds very scary and dangerous, and is only used in country's where other drugs are too expensive or hard to come by.

My two favorites are Dimenhydrinate, and Diphenhydramine. I like Deliriants, alot.

I like the psychological aspect almost as much as the heavy body load; I like being scared, and freaked out; I find that when my mind can't handle it anymore, I simply tip off my sitter, and stop resisting the blackout; it'll either mellow out, and become easier to handle, or i'll drift to sleep.

if you do this i would have benzos near by just in case it's too "dark" of a trip for you, know what i mean? better safe than sorry.
Good luck with it and i hope you have fun but remember one thing that always comes FIRST: Safety.
%)

I am in the midst of trying to dial in a good Xanax dose to mellow out a bad trip, I seem to go straight from intense to the next morning (in other words, black out). I used to use Ephedrine to keep my brain speedy to prevent blacking out; is this safe? (within the context of this thread of course :| )

What makes Tropicamide so dangerous, other than possible psychological effects?

It's hard to say, since the only reports of its abuse seem to come from Russia, and the users there are injecting it. However, like I said, what little I have read on tropicamide is that the effects are ot really recreational, but rather manifest psychological symptoms similar to disassociation and schizophrenia.

I really feel like using drugs like this is not a smart idea. If you want to freak yourself out, read the book Less than Zero by Brett Easton Ellis or watch Antichrist. I GAURANTEE that if you also consume LSD while viewing/reading either of those two works, you will have a dark and disturbing trip.

That being said here is a list of medications with which tropicamide interacts with.

And here is erowids page on Datura information. It's not specific to tropicamide, but tropicamide is a an anticholinergic drug, and works similarly to scopolamine and atropine from what I've read (though tropicamide is shorter acting). I would honestly try out Datura before messing around with this Tropicamide-at least there is some documentation in regards to trip experiences, effects etc..

Still I do not advice this, but ive been around long enough to know that the discouraging comment from an Internet poster will most likely not change the mind of a determined individual. Just do as much research as you can, and start off low.

Edit//

Here is prescribing info by the FDA, pretty interesting.

The idea that OP actualy LIKES it when a trip gets dark in scary is very cool to me. i might try using this mentality next time i start creeping into what i would usualy consider a bad trip. Ill try looking at it as a good thing and just an intruiging experience as opposed to being like"oh shit! this isnt how i wanted my trip to be. i dont like this. i wish the drug would where off faster.". so thanks OP for the new "technique" or whatever one would call it.

I agree, but there are many ways to insure that you have a bad trip, without resorting to using obscure drugs who's only known abuse has been reported in Russia, where people are also shooting Coaxil and Krokodil.

Like I said, drop some acid, and watch some really messed up surreal movie... I imagine Gummo would suffice.
