Hit up michigan ave downtown is a must but be warned everything is pricey out there. Check out some bars/clubs like crobar, level, and spybar.

If you want a good dinner at a pretty cool retaurant try Mike Ditka's on Chestnut, just east of Michigan. Try the parmesean crusted halibut. Outstanding dish!

I wouldn't go to michigan ave unless your trying to really spend money...

But you can go see the window display at the old marshall fields..that's like tradition.

I wouldn't go to ditkas if was here on vacation I'd go somewhere nicer..the trick like most big cities is if there a restaurant you really want to try..
Go during lunch..most of the time they run their dinner menu just smaller portion during lunch and half the price

So that aged 90day aged ribeye won't cost you $75 like it would for dinner,

but OP..i just read today the field musem is opening up its "the nature of diamonds exhibit"http://www.fieldmuseum.org/diamonds/highlights.asp ..the diamonds thing might be nice to go see with your girl

imma go check it out tomorrow cause ive been meaning to go see the pirates exhibit they have had running and it ends on sunday..so imma check them both out...
