Which is the best of these four to be used as a short-term daily antidepressant, with the least amount of side effects and least amount of permanent 5-HT/NE modification and damage?

I am thinking of taking a high dose of Remeron (30-45mg) for a couple of weeks to boost me out of this hopelessness so I can actually start my school semester right, then taper off once I'm on my feet. I just don't like contemplating suicide every day, it's getting too risky for my survival. Higher doses of Remeron don't cause too much sedation, only lower doses (7.5-15mg). Also, Remeron starts showing benefits within just a week rather than 3-4 weeks as with SSRI's.

I already have been taking a mild SRI, DXM extended release, at doses of ~120mg a day for the last few months to prevent opiate/benzo tolerance, and take about 50mg of tramadol a day for analgesic and AD effects.

I eat perfectly (whole grains, protein, good fats in 4-5 small meals a day), take plenty of minerals, vitamins, fish oil, exercise as much as my ankle allows, sleep 7-8 hours a night, etc. I am also hoping to start CBT and possibly EMDR soon for severe anxiety, panic attacks, and possible late-onset PTSD.

Also, does Remeron make you emotionally flat, cognitively impaired, or cloudy like other AD's? It seems to be the only one I would even consider putting in to my body.

Most medications in the antidepressant family unfortunately effect many individuals in vastly different ways. There is no real easy answer, and more often than not, it just becomes a thing of trial and error until you find one what works well you you. It's sadly a long tedious process as it takes around a month to see if a given medicine will be effective or not.

The best of luck to you, and I hope you start feeling better. Feel free to PM me if you need someone to talk to.
