Tramadol Induced Fever?

I've been taking Tramadol for a few months building a tolerance from 50mg to my current; 150mg.
However, yesterday I took 250mg and it felt good for the first 30 minutes after it kicked in, then it went to shit; Itching, nauseou, headache, and restlessness. Then after a few hours and some food, the symptoms seemed to subside drastically, but then I started to feel like shit again, except this time it was a different feeling.
I checked my temperature and it was 103°! I immediately took some Advil and drank a bunch of water and passed out, still having a high fever and mild hallucinations. The next day,(currently) I feel fine but I'm scared to take any more tramadol, which I need to for pain/dependance.
Also, could this be an overdose?

Are you taking any SSri? flexeril, anything that deals with serotonin. You could of had minor serotonin syndrome. Serotonin does a lot more than regulate mood. It controls body temperature, convulsions heart rate and more.

Other reason is maybe your coming down with something that has nothing to do with Tramadol. If your fever doesn't drop go the hospital immediately

you could have easily OD on it always keep in mind doses and reactions differ from person to person like me personally
tramadol doesnt do shit i took 150mg no tolerance first time using for a broken foot and didnt feel anything feel a bottle of jack worked better
my mom has been on tramadol for 2 yrs anywhere from 50 to 150 mg mainly 50 mg and has never had a fever of any sorts
take your usual 150mg and see what happens or even 200mg
250mg is quite a dose think i read doses over 300mg + can cause seizures etc ive read 400mg + but as with any drug it varies from person to person
as stated above your fever can be totally unrelated to tramadol i would go get checked out to be on the safe side

Next time don't increase your dose so much at once.

103 fever is right on the verge of needing to go the hospital. Take tylenol to lower a fewer.
