Hello all,

I wonder if any one could tell me scientifically if possible why this is a dangerous combo or if it is a dangerous combo.

The dose range for each when trying has been.

250mg trams,
100 mg diphenhyramine,
15mg nitrazepam.

Its my current favourite mix if all things are timed correctly, but I have become concerned more about the load of the liver, but also respiratory depression although i find tramadol to be fairly stimulating.

Do you have a tolerance to any of those drugs? If you take all three drugs all the time then you will probably be fine....But like any bluelighter will tell you, just be cautious when mixing downers.

Even though i take tramadol almost every other day i would think i do have a tolerance but saying that i havent need to up the dose that much been using tramadol for about 6 or 7 months now, and hasn't gone above 300 mg except the odd 400 mg but even 100 mg i notice.

DPH i dont have a tolerance unless i use it 3 nights in a row which is pretty rare.

Nitrazepam i take semi regularly maybe once or twice a week but havent really needed to go beyond 30 mg.

I hope that helps to explain my tolerances.

Diphenhydramine is dysphoric and anti-histamines generally don't compliment the SSRA/NRI properties of tramadol IMO. Diphenhydramine can lower the seizure threshold and cause seizures by itself, so taking it with tramadol would probably increase that risk. Tramadol is also demethylated into M1 by 2D6 which diphenhydramine is a mild inhibitor of.
