Misc Tramadol and DXM

Hello everyone.

No, I am not taking both these drugs at the exact same time. I took tramadol at about 1PM , and was planning to take DXM later tonight. How long do you think I should wait to avoid the risk of Seratonin Syndrome?

Well I took about 380mg of DXM. I waited 11 hours from when I took the tramadol. Ill let you guys know how it goes
 
^ 380mg of DXM is a very high dose, and is enough to produce significant dissociative effects through its active metabolite, Dextrorphan, DXO; the problem is, people take DXM, a stimulant with NRI, SRI, and sigma agonist effects, to get high on its dissociative metabolite, DXO, but both DXM and tramadol lower the seizure threshold, causing higher seizure risk.

I would have waited at least 24 hours after dosing tramadol to take an abusive dosage of DXM, but if you are using low-dose DXM (~60-90mg/daily) for tolerance increase prevention, and your doses of tramadol are under 150-200mg/day, then I would say there is no danger in taking the two in low-doses simultaneously.

I appreciate the advice. Nothing negative seemed to happen except that I didnt trip at all, but I will be more careful next time.
