Top 10 Albums of 2014

Agree with the Thievery and Tipper, not sure about the rest, I'll have to check them out.
I've noticed that awhile back the music forum here was sort of cliquish and unfriendly...

Now, seems that it's just empty.
What a shame, people should be friendly online, the fuck do we have to lose?

Anyways, a few not mentioned:

Nightmares On Wax ~ Feelin Good. (Just groovy shit from a cool guy. Decent, feels good.)

FSOL ~ Environment 5 (Casual strangeness from the Masters)

Jeff Mills ~ Future Worlds. (check it out!)

Energetic X ~ After Midnight (Techno, like it should be done. Pounding. With Twilight Zone 1980's ver. Weirdness.)

Not sure about cliques, but this place isn't hopping much. Nice thread. I have nothing to add because I haven't tried anything new on in a long time. :)

Yeah, I think the hate magnets drove away a lot of people?
Or, maybe it was just one or two experiences that seemed to represent something larger to me.

Anyways...

Nobukazu Takemura had a new album that was predictably awesome and weird.

I've got a couple that I have loved this year.

Arca-Xen
Experimental electronic that kind of sounds like witch house but with exceptionally out there composition and sound design.
Actress-Ghettoville
The final album for Actress, and like his last one, RIP it is full of complex soundscapes, metallic beats, and deceptively simple grooves
Aphex Twin-Syro
The return of the master. Full of tracks that fly from big acidy anthems to his classic melodies sset behind surgical breakbeats.
Flying Lotus-You're Dead
His latest album exploring death, Flying Lotus has a really dense jazzy album set up, with some killer rap tracks as well.
Andy Stott- Faith in Strangers
An amazing follow up to his 2012 album Luxury Problems, he expands on his cavernous beats which sound so organic or metallic as opposed to most techno, delivering a powerfuly unique release.
