I took like 1300mg of Effexor XR last year once, and ever since, I've been impotent. I'm also not interested in sex. I've been to a strip club, and it didn't do anything for me. I take Adderall, and it does nothing to help.
I found this page: http://www.actionlove.com/cases/case16728.htm He's an M.D. who sells his own line of neuro-regeneration supplements. He advises people not to do drugs so they don't have to buy his product, "because restoring your neurotransmitters is expensive." One of the bottles he advises in his SSRI/amphetamine/cocaine recovery regimen is $75. The testimonials report success around 3 months, so that's $225 just for one of the bottles, and there's multiple supplements...
I'm kind of desperate. He claims that (and he has an abstract on Medline that proves it) that SSRIs push serotonin into dopamine receptors, and also screw up gene expression of the D2 and D3 receptors. He seems to know a lot about this stuff. I wish my urologist knew as much. He's hopeless. He gave me some Viagra, and it didn't work. I may be able to talk him into giving me a prosthetic fluid-inflatable penis (I'm not kidding, they have surgeries for them, and you push a discrete button underneath your prostate bone thing to have it pump fluid and cause an erection). But if I get that, I have to get a surgery every 10 years to replace it, and it makes me guaranteed to be impotent if I remove it.
anyone else get impotent from drugs?
