Too risky? What would result? Butalbital and Clonazepam

Okay, so I've been taking Klonopin daily for about 4 weeks now, usually 1 to 1.5 mg daily, but recently have been indulging a little too much, and going up to 3.5 mg daily a few days this past week. Before the Klonopin, I had virtually no benzo tolerance, but had dabbled very lightly with low dose Xanax.

Before I was on the K-pins, I would on occassion take a Fiorinal (Aspirin, Butalbital, Caffeine), and I could feel it even though some say it is a weak barbiturate. I only have had about 10 experiences with butalbital, and the most I ever took was two tablets. They are definitely "good" to me, even some say they are worthless.

Also, I have no/very, very little alcohol tolerance, having rarely ever drunk. This may explain why I feel the butalbital to a good extent and enjoy it.

So basically, I have no barbiturate or alcohol tolerance, and some benzo tolerance I guess, but it can't be heavy right? I know barbiturates are incredibly dangerous, even "weak ones", but I was wondering if it would be okay to take one or two tablets while on this semi-new Klonopin regime of 0.5 mg TID? I can ballpark where other combos get risky, but since barbs are so rare, I don't know what could happen. What range would be safe-ish?

You should be fine, you are not taking outrageous doses of either IMHO.
 
benzos and barbs are cross tolerant. combining benzos and barbs have a potentialy dangerous synergy due to their distinctive ways of affecting GABA.

however low doses shouldn't kill you, i think if you play it safe you'll have a good time. i've mixed benzos and barbs, but i have a really high tolerance to GABAergics.
 
*also, i'd be more careful with the barb and try to keep the dose of it rather low compared to the benzo. barbs are easy to overdose on and are more dangerous than benzos.

^ true, if the caffeine doesn't ruin the barb high then the large amount of acetaminophen will harm your liver limiting the amount of pills you can take.
 
It takes 20-25 pills to overdose in a full grown man. This is straight off of the Fioricet PDF.
This is for acute toxicity. You will be way uncomfortable or dead by this time especially if you drink alcohol with them.

Toxic Doses (for adults)

Butalbital= 1 g =(20 tablets)

Acetaminophen= 10 g=(30 tablets)

Caffeine= 1 g=(25 tablets)

StaySedated: I have good news, there is a formulations without caffiene.
These are only Butalbital and Acetaminophen: Axocet, Bucet, Bupap, Cephadyn, Dolgic, Phrenilin/ Phrenilin Forte, Sedapap.

Thank you for the responses to my question. I just needed some confirmation because rarely is the benzo/barb combo discussed, even if it is a "weak" barb. I am quite caffeine tolerant, and wouldn't be taking more than say 2 ever, but I needed to know that it was safe.

I would say Caffeine makes you shit your brains out.. most people dont want to hear too much about shit ect... so if you go that route it could count as an "allergy" thus making saying that plausable!! hahahaha

He's very lucky because most...all...doctors would say well then your choices are now only...anything other than pentobarbital. You'd be stuck with some worthless lack of abuse potential drug.
