The past few monthes I've noticed that I am sleeping way more than what is "normal" (I usually sleep about 10-12 hours a day, I actually made a thread about it a few weeks ago), and I've also been getting sick a lot more. I've had a cold for about a month now that I just can't seem to shake off.

Also (sorry if this is gross :\, I feel kinda akward saying this), I've been going #2 wayyyy more than usual. My stomach feels OK, it's just that I shit a lot even though I'm not eating any more than usual. It just kinda hits me out of nowhere sometimes... I probably take a dump like 5-6 freakin times a day.

I really am not a fan of going to the doctor (unless I absolutely need to), and I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill about this. I am not really the healthiest person- I smoke a lot (pot and cigs), drink a bit more often than I should (hey, i'm in college :) ), my eating habits are OK but not always ideal either. I'm sure that my lifestyle contributes somewhat to over-sleeping and getting sick.

My mom planted the idea in my head that I might have anemia or something- I really don't know :\. Obviously I'm not asking for a diagnosis based on this little bit of info, but does it sound like I might need to have this checked out, or should I just take care of it on my own by changing my habits and\or just dealing with it?

*EDIT: maybe a bit unrelated, but I've also been getting cold sweats in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping the past few weeks... really unusual. Lately it's been happening almost every night, but I never actually FEEL overly hot or cold.. ??

From your symptoms, it would seem that you are immunocompromised. People with autoimmune disorders are also known to sleep considerably more than normal. I suspect auto-immune thyroditis (hypothyroidism), so you really need to get that checked. Your gut problems are also worrying. Throughout my many, many years of online research, I have noticed that people with gut problems are several times more likely to develop psychological issues than normal people.
You CANNOT have a healthy brain without a healthy gut/digestive system. That goes for everyone. The gut/mood connection cannot be stressed enough.
You need to investigate the causeof your loose stools/IBS symptoms and treat it. Whenever someone has gut problems, I immediately recommend an elimination diet. It saves lives (including mine).
