Is it a more or less perfect curve of tolerance depending on exactly how much bud you smoke over lets say a week, or will your tolerance be higher/lower if you smoke a bunch all at once and then take a 2 or more day break, then smoke a bunch again.

It's the same amount is being smoked over the same period, but which method will have a greater effect or are they pretty much the same? What if the time period and breaks are longer?

Obviously the most efficient method would be to wait until your tolerance has gone back to zero and then smoke again, but whats your opinion as to the ideal amount of time to wait and still enjoy your bud on a very regular basis?

Practice some sports dude it helps... swimming is really cool

I think that taking a 36 to 48 hour break in between stone-sessions is the most efficient way to use your pot. So yes having a break is better than if you were to just continue smoking the same amount in a week but continuously instead of in spurts.

It's the contrast between sobriety/stonedness that makes being stoned so sweet.

^ Agreed. Just have a couple days sober every week so your body isn't used to being stoned 24/7

safety has it. Its the contrast!

I like smoking in all kinds of social situations. I guess it depends on what u want to get out of it.. I take mid-week breaks, usually 3 days is good enough for me to continuely smoke the same amount of bud each weekend... Long hard sessions do take there toll though, and i might chuck in an extra day if i feel i have over-indulgde.

This is all true, and I do all these things (thought I'm not talking about just myself)

Physical activity definitely will lower your tolerance

I'm wondering what people think the "Ideal" length to take a break when smoking on average lets say 1g/day. Is it 2g/2days or 3g/3days...etc

Im fairly active. Ive gymed (wieghts) regularly for over 10years. I guess i can feel it in my body and my head, when i start feeling a certain way i know my system is clearing up... I guess it feels like a comedown off pills. You know when u are pretty much int he clear... thats how i plan my breaks...

I cant really break it down to grams though, because it all depends on how u consume it and what the quality is like in the first place..

The way i smoke, i can take a month off and my body and head is pretty much good as new. Short term memory is sharp etc.

I think it's probably better to smoke a lot on occasion than to smoke little and often. If you are regularly getting a little bit high, it'll lose its magic much quicker than if you just get high as fuck every now and again. This is just based on my experience, I have no data to support this idea.

a bowl or two once a day. You're tolerance will stay low, you will get really high (assuming you've got some A strains, something like 18%+ THC strains).

Fortunatly weed is something that your tolerance will drop dramatically in just a few days break.

I've found that a 2 week break yeilds the same results as a 1 month break. I am very physically active, however.

while i love the feeling of getting stoned after letting my tolerance drop, i enjoy smoking in general too much to take a break. I easily smoke a g of dank each day. 99% of the time its after work (i work 9-5 m-f) so the gram will last me a few hours, if not ill just smoke some more. I just like to enjoy my time after work/before bed with some pot and internet.
If I am not working I'm pretty much high all the time. Smoking isnt really a hobby or anyhting like that to me, its more like how cigarettes are for some people. Im not saying im addicted, i just enjoy smoking throughout the day, whenever i feel the want to.

in the past 3 years ive stopped for maybe 2 months total. the longest period being one month of that. this was all during my mid/shwag days so my tolerancec wasnt that high anyways but smoking after that period was amazing.....

its def worth it to stop, smoke and feel the awesome effects after you've smoke for that first time AFTER stopping for a 2 months, but finding it in myself to just stop one day and tell myself to wait 2 months before i smoke again isnt happening. not saying i cant do it, i just dont want to :)
