Poetry Today is the day

[Jabberwocky]

Today is the first day of the rest of my life
Today I said fuck all this turmoil and strife
Today I showered with temperature cold
Brave men say "Do this daily", or so I am told
Today I cooked breakfast unusually slow
To savor the moment, the present to know
That I am one with body and mind
My soul is my secret, to own and to find
