Hi iv been using pills for 6 years now.
Started using with no script but got on probation and obtained a script so I can legally use and get 10000x cheaper and 120 pills a month.
Recently my ex gf stole my whole script all 120 and left me. Im coming down really bad and I had to buy off my buddy which I had 11 5mg oxycodone
5/325 and used all at once. Whick is
3575mg of acetaminophen. Then
Roughly about 15. Then I came down again because they were instant release and im used to the extended I made the mistake of taking 9 more
13 hours later so a total of 6500!!
I'm a small guy I'm 105 pounds and
5'4 and not super healthy. Iv been hydrated and drinking water. I know that does help to much but has to to a extent. Soo advice?

Minimum toxic doses of acetaminophen for a single ingestion, posing significant risk of severe hepatotoxicity, are between 7.5g and 10g.

That range is for a single ingestion however and I believe you took 6.5g over a period of 13 hours. The maximum recommended daily dose of acetaminophen is 4g/24 hours.

You said your weight is 105lbs... That's about 48kg. Therefore, based on the dose of acetaminophen ingested (mg/kg body weight) - that is 135mg/kg. Risk of severe liver damage is unlikely under 150mg/kg according to a reputable source.

And that figure is based on a single ingestion not a staggered ingestion... Which is good news for you!

Symptoms can be delayed in acetaminophen overdose (around 24 hours). Given the amount you have taken and over the time you have taken it, you should have avoided any significant toxicity but everyone is different, and acetaminophen overdose can be particular damaging as symptoms can be delayed.

There is an antidote to acetaminophen so time is critical in preventing liver damage.

It would not be sensible of me to advise you not to seek medical treatment, as you should in the event of any overdose. However, seek medical help immediately if you experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and jaundice (yellowing of the skin).

It would also be wise to avoid alcohol for a few days.

Agreed with the previous reply. If you're not keen on seeking medical help, you can try going to a pharmacy and looking for acetylcysteine, the one we have here is Sandoz' ACC. Acetylcysteine is one of the antidotes used in paracetamol overdose, it is very effective if taken within 8 hours of the dosing. In any case, if you're worried about your liver, try it. It would be beneficial even if it's been longer since your dosing, it still helps the liver avoid any more damage. I think the antidote dosage is around 10 grams, so that could be a problem as it's not particularly pleasant to intake.

Thank you for your highly intelligent answer this really means a lot. So
If I have no symptoms like u mentioned above I hopefully should be good? And what about liver damage?
It's pretty healthy and I don't drink
Anymore and always stay hydrated
And I had a full stomach! Just rememberd I ate so in conclusion
Based on your knowlage I should be good and should just avoid this mistake again and hopefully should be fine? Thank u

How long has it been since your last dose? If you have no symptoms yet it doesn't mean you're in the clear YET, but it's a good sign nevertheless. The liver damage in sub-overdose incidents is usually either reversible or insignificant, so I wouldn't worry too much about it - just don't let it happen again. If you're worried, follow my acetylcysteine advice.

If by 24 hours since last dose you still feel no symptoms, it is very likely that you're in the clear and can rest easy. But if you start feeling anything out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to call for medical help. Paracetamol overdose is one of the worst overdoses, there is no point in playing around with it.

I think you and your liver will be fine. You are well under the dose for severe toxicity.

I just could not post "Don't worry about it... You don't need medical advice" as that would be very irresponsible as an RN and reply to a post about an overdose.

Keeping hydrated is a good idea as well as avoiding acetaminophen and alcohol for a few days.

As I said before if you have any abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, lethargy or jaundice seek medical help. How long has it been since your last ingestion of acetaminophen?

I believe you were lucky on this occasion if you are feeling fine now.

I'm highly addicted to these oxy-based opiates so will withdrawls later today be a different feeling?
And is kratom okay to use later today when I withdrawl?

I've never experienced severe opioid withdrawal so I don't know.

Kratom is a tricky subject. There are a couple of threads on here which describe an unusual reaction to kratom in which the person experienced symptoms of liver damage. It appears to be a rare reaction, but there is no scientific research on the subject as far as I know, at least I haven't found any on whether kratom is harmful to the liver or not.

Ok thanks, so I'm very very itchy now and very much so awake and very
Hungery. That's normal and what I should be feeling right??my eyes and skin are fine ATM but what about my previous symptoms

In addition to your liver question.

Did your girlfriend take the pill bottle with your name on it? In most states you can be charged with a crime if you don't report the theft of scheduled medications. I wouldn't throw her name out there, but lookup what state agency you would have to declare this too. If she has an OD or is caught with your prescription, you can actually get in trouble, so just be careful. If she did not take the pill bottle, do not worry about it.

Check out CWE. It will be helpful in keeping some of that acetaminophen out of your liver.

I called the police on her for it (which I hate snitching) but that's very fucked up and is causing me many problems and money. I am aware of this law.
That's mainly why I reported it. There was no proof tho. No txts, not in her possession. She told me she was sorry and said she's trying to make me quit
But this like I told her is unethical, very dangerous and not the way to.

I'd go to the hospital if I were you.

Sure, the above suggestions that you are PROBABLY not QUITE at the level needed for severe liver damage SEEM like they MIGHT be true...but do you really want to risk it???

Me, if I've consumed more than 5,000mgs of Tylenol in 24 hours I'm going to the hospital and I don't care who says it's not necessary.

Due to the 4,000mgs warning, which they now switched to 3,000mgs just to keep people extra safe, I've made sure never to consume more than 3,950mgs in a day, and that's STILL a lot.

IMO, going 1 gram over that is cause for concern and I'm not taking my liver for granted and I"m just going to go get treatment and if I didn't need it in the end then I was extra cautious but if I DID need it...well than I'll be DAMN glad I did.

You have to remember, once you actually notice REAL symptoms the damage is done and you'll probably have life long liver damage IF you live.

Again, my guess is that you PROBABLY will be fine BUT...I'd go to the hospital anyway.

Don't fuck around man, and no matter HOW much you wanted to get high I don't get how you could allow yourself to consume more than 4 grams.

Tylenol poisoning is SERIOUS.

Should get medical attention asap even if you feel fine your better off being safe rather then sorry .
And for gods sake next time do a CWE its not that hard crush pills put them in water 3ml per tablet and then filter using a coffee filter and you'll be saving yourself from death
