so i bought a vape a few months ago. since then i have used it to enjoy several different kinds of marijuana, each varying in quality from KB to ditch weed.
i have noticed that some the weaker and trashier (with lots of seeds and stems) varieties seem to really shine in a vaporizer.

right now i am enjoying some pretty awful shwag that i got months ago. it is purely shit to smoke, but vapor feels very fun and clear with a good body high as well. alternatively, i have some awesome KB in the sense that it gets me very high with less, but its just not as fun as this cheaper stuff.

i have wondered if the cheaper herb tends to have more CBD in it. any thoughts on this?

I've never vaped weaker herb like schwag or mids.

If you have a vaporizer and it works right you're only going to get THC from herb.

^ Depends what you define as right, if someone wants to change the temp and get some CBD for a different high, it's hardly wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong . . .but isn't the boiling temp of CBD somewhere around 350F, with THC being 320F(ish!)?

Clarification: Vapes are generally recommended to be set anywhere between 350-400, depending on the model.

i always vape a little on the hot side because i want to get as much as i can from it. it usually gets a little browned but doesn't smoke. i assume that i will get some of the cbd at that temperature, but i don't actually have a thermometer built into my box.

I've always believed that most of the CBD remains in the weed after you vape it; THC being the most active cannabinoid. I would imagine at high temperatures you are getting some of the CBD though, just not much.

Thats why the high is so body-oriented if you were to cook with vaped weed. And IMO, the vape would be a great way to smoke any kind of herb whatever gets you high right? One of my friends will bong the post-vape shit. I'm like NTY. Its chron tho, i cant imagine what post-vape shwag would be like.

weed combusts at 350. the perfered temp is 200 to 220 to get all the good vap out. i have a tilt vape with a digital readout that says that the temp is 400 to 440 for it to work. not sure why this is but the weed would obviously burn if the temp was this high. i have measured with a digital term. and it was at the 220 temp in reality.

i also find that reg or comercial weed shines when used in a vape. the amount used is more but the high will generaly be the same as kb.

im glad somebody agrees with me. in this case though, i think the regular weed is more enjoyable than the kb i have. there must a reason, right?

Same here except I just have a vapor geine which is a vaporizer pipe. It still works really good the only problem being it drains lighters pretty quickly

Vaporising makes a big difference with the quility of the high when useing lower grade bud. Even vaporising stems gives you a nice quality high.

No, it doesn't, and no, that's wrong.

Your vape is wildly inaccurate if you need to turn it up that high to get it to the proper temp (I'm assuming it actually SAYS 400+ F, and that that's not some arbitrary number it uses).

I'm not sure how you would've accurately measured the temp, seeing as the air isn't moving when you're not sucking (thus the temp you're measuring is just the air exposed to the hot outer surface. not what's coming through the device . . .unless you have a fan-equipped model).

ok here is the important question for me now: why does some cheaper weed give me a better high than kb? i have ideas about this.

1) Maybe cheaper weed tends to be certain strains that grow outside well. these strains might have a different mix of cannabinoids than the "kb" strains.

2)maybe i got some great strain that somebody didn't grow very well. like it was neglected well past harvesting time.

That's true.

I highly prefer getting high on only THC with a vape even though the vape I have has a way to get high on CBD.

Most people with vapes that I know just get high on THC and then use the duff or vaped herb to cook with so they get the CBD and then they'll vape some after eating a duff brownie if they want the full high with CBD and THC.

I had some weed recently that looked like shit, and tasted awful in a bong. But in the vape it was lovely, nice high aswell. You cant always judge a bud just by the way it looks.

The main difference is with some real kill that you grind up and pack the volcano full of will get many ultra potent bags. I use a 5 foot bag on my volcano and if I pack the cylinder full I get 4 bags full of vapes. If I use some not as good weed it will only fill up once or twice and it wont have that full throat burning feeling. More like a steam feeling. That throat burning that you get after a bag or two is how you know you 'bout to get lifted.

The ugly buds from harvest and sugar leaves should be saved and dried. Then ground with herb grinder. You can vape on that for months and still have your crop to sell on.

If you don't have a volcano I probably wouldn't vape. Maybe do knife hits but let the knife cool down 'til it's no longer red and then use them.

I also use my adjustable digital heat gun on a glass bong with glass pull carb. Just set temperature to around 350 and put it right on bowl. If you are lucky you can create a seal and that will ensure you don't waste much vapes.

i know there are some growing gurus on here. can anyone tell me the difference between kb and reg? is it all in the strain, or can they be from similar strains and the growing technique makes all the difference?

anyway, since i bought my cheap vape i have been spending way less money on my supply. not only is it more efficient, but i find myself enjoying stuff that is ridiculously cheap. i love cheap!

the combustion temp. its 500 to 700 c. if using a lighter. i think that the spontaneous combustion temp is as low as 240 to 250, it will definitely combust by 350. id like to see a source with all the temps if anyone has it. i am right about vape temp for sure. it starts at 180 and the sweet spot (for me anyways) is 200 to 220. sorry if i miss informed anyone with this. if im wrong please inform me of the correct spontaneous combustion temps. id like to see it from a reliable source anyways.

kb is kind bud-the shit you see in high times-no seeds-well grown with crystals

reg is just regular herb-may have seeds and is grown with much less care and love-in theory i guess they could be the same strain, just grown differently.

its just slang used to differentiate grades of weed. its a difference of price and quality. ime

hope i helped ya-
