I am so excited!

The 2010 Thomas & Uber Cup will be the 26th tournament of the Thomas Cup and 23rd tournament of the Uber Cup, the most important and most prestigious badminton tournaments in men's and women's team competition, respectively. The 2010 championships marks the Thomas & Uber Cup's 10 year return to Malaysia which has always seen great fan interest in the sport.
The final rounds will be held from May 9 to May 16 at Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which was also the same venue of the 2000 Thomas & Uber Cup.

Pre-tournament predictions according to the form books at that time places China as the favorites to win both the Thomas & Uber Cups. However 4 other "badminton powerhouse nations" are expected to give strong challenge and also have a fair chance of winning the tournament. These 4 nations include host Malaysia, Indonesia, Denmark and South Korea. Malaysia are expected to fair well due to home support and also the peaking in form of their singles ace, Lee Chong Wei as well as their first doubles pair Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong. Denmark who has a good record of playing on Malaysian soil also has a very well balanced lineup. Although the Indonesian contingent might not look as impressive as in previous years, they have always been reckoned to pull off surprises when it comes to team events and their most recent team competition saw them beating the Malaysian team in the final of the SEA Games badminton gold medal match. South Korea have always been unpredictable and they can certainly ride on the strength of their doubles pairings.
