this may sound strange but...does drug use ever bother anyone by how "unclassy" is?

For example: smoking drugs off aluminum foil. It's very unclassy IMO. Whenever I smoke drugs off foil I always think to myself, "what am I doing? I'm better than this." However, I do sometimes smoke H and that's how you smoke tar, off a good ol' piece of foil. I have a feeling that if I smoked H out of some kind of ornate opium pipe or something that I'd have a much more favorable view towards my own use.

Also, smoking meth pipes. I always feel super unclassy whenever I twirl a glass dick (which thankfully is rarely nowadays)

Caring about the aesthetics of certain ROAs probably seems pretty bizarre but there you have it.

For me I feel the least classy when I am laying in bed naked with all the covers kicked off after a wild sexual romp with a girl I've been doing speedballs all night with and my parents show up at my apartment. Tie off still on my arm. Its even worse when I would forget the girls name.
 
That doesn't sound very classy.

But yeah, I'll definitely suck a glass dick like I'm behind on last month's rent
 
Classy things for drug use are neat.

I once had a glass syringe which had a metal Luer Lock tip, so you could replace the needles, which I would buy by the hundred(s), and wash the thing out with alcohol/bleach periodically, but it was the only syringe that I needed. Kept in a nice little case with spoon, filters, etc. Waaaaay classier than an orange top. Obviously not to be shared, but it was badass and I was the envy of all my junkie ass friends for my style & sophistication.

Not really, they were junkies and didn't give a shit. But I thought it was cool.

Other classy things:

Metal coke tooters but especially spoons.

A fancy box with mirror, tooter, razor.

Hand-blown, purpose made acid vials in psychedelic colors with droppers.

One of the single coolest drug things I've seen was a little pair of scissors, also purpose made (for cutting unperforated blotter) with gold on it and a little extension of the handle on which was a Steal Your Face symbol. No description could come close to describing how heady this thing was, and no picture of it exists because AFAIK it is unique and was uniquely commissioned somehow by an older head who used to be on the circuit.

Low class drug things:

Visibly reused syringes.

Crack pipes (the kind with chore boy), although they are also the best way to smoke the classier drug of DMT.

Metal weed pipes, the kind with the screw top (but I like them.)

PVC bongs in garish colors.

Come to think of it most weed pipes.
 
still having a literal *lol* at the "hold your pinky out like an english gent" and also at the sucking on the glass dick like you're behind on last month's rent comments.......that's some funny shit right there


I will say it doesn't feel very classy smoking off that foil...never had that thought with the ol glass dick though.


I prefer to "powder my nose" like a dignified lady, personally


and as far as weed....i've been smoking out of home made bongs for years even when a glass pipe is on hand

The commentary on paraphernalia reminds me of the coke vials my parents showed me one time from back in the 80's. I guess where they lived drug dealers actually sold cocaine in little glass vials which varied in size depending on how much coke you bought. *sigh* I wish buying drugs was still that classy.
 
Classy drug use is only available to the rich these days.

Vaping meth any MOA, be it foil or the chicken bowl/glass dick, never feels classy. Not a classy, Scarface drug like high-purity cocaine from one of various Mexi-Cartel's. High-level dealers get to use drugs, mostly cocaine and MDMA (party drugs), in a "classy" manner. I'm jealous.

Heroin... well you don't need class. It's an escapist's drug. As long as it gets in my vein with my new/used syringe I could care less about people's perception of it.
 
Yeah ... I was born way too late.

I probably have an idealized perception of years before I was born but I mean, seriously, people dressed classier, women, put more effort into her appearance, things were low tech and analog, you had at least a chance to go on the run if you got busted, none of this surveillance bullshit, political debates actually had substance, and drugs were way, way cooler. Good coke you snorted with spoons vs. choosing between levamisole and the beta-ketone of the week. Thai stick versus genetically engineered California crap. Strong acid, American made and laid (still exists but now is pretty niche) vs. shitty RCs and Eurodoses. Quaaludes vs. Chinese powdered benzos. What I wouldn't have given to have lived thru the years my dad (big time pot dealer in his day, we're a multigenerational counterculture family, even my grandmother smoked weed and hung out in beatnik bars in the city and shit like that and my great-grandparents were some sort of communists ... they're rolling in their graves at me no doubt ...) But yeah that got me on a bit of a tangent. I almost get sad when I watch TV/movies set in that era. Why did I have to be born in the Facebook era and not the disco era? :(
 
The weed back then seemed pretty lame. I don't know about that directly but my dad is a lifelong marijuana smoker and grower (going on 70 years old), and according to him the weed today is way better than it was when he was a lad.
 
My mom and dad both preferred the stuff that they used to get and think the new stuff is too potent and anxiogenic. Hell, I prefer the stuff that I used to get and think the new stuff is too potent and anxiogenic. My mom was also really into black beauties, all those different kinds of speed pills, nembutal, quaaludes, acid ... my dad while and since he was a professional he kept it a little more mellow, didn't like psychedelics, some weed and coke.
 
My mom used to take Seconal when she was a teenager. My grandfather died of cancer before I was born and it was prescribed to him and yeah, I guess she'd take some of the "extra pills" for herself.

It's funny though, I asked her what secobarbital was like and she just said "uh, kind of like a stronger version of Valium, I guess...?" I didn't inform her that drug addicts today practically salivate over that shit & it's one of the magical unicorns of the drug world (along with Oxy 160's and Quaaludes), I just think it's funny how certain drugs get "fetishized" once they're mostly out of circulation. Seems to happen especially with depressants. I bet if Xanax were suddenly outlawed and removed from circulation, within about a decade drug users would be talking about the glory days of alprazolam and how Xanax bars would make you feel like you were floating on fucking clouds or something.
 
Yeah I'm pretty sure that if the drug fairy would hand me a couple of Quaaludes they wouldn't measure up to the myth, few things ever do. The only quasi-legendary drug that I tried that lived up to it's reputation was 4-MAR.

I say this all the time, and it's one of the reasons I don't feel like I missed out on things like Quaaludes.

Our children will be amazed that we had such amazing downers like Klonopin handed out too us so easily from doctors.
We were like pioneers.
 
Even people now fetishize the "real" OC80s. And are V-cuts even a thing anymore?
 
It doesn't bother me much because I've always been rather shameless. I don't flaunt it as much as I used to. That's part of getting older and wiser though
 
when my dad and I were cleaning out my grandmas house after she died we found a whole lot of pillbottles that have been around for quite a while. I tried quaaludes...they suck in comparison to what we have today. I would take a xanax bar over a quaalude any day. I also got to try demerol...that sucked as well. Society has always sucked and we will always look back at days past with fondness because we tend not to think about the bad things that were happening then. Yep thats life. Progress and all.
 
When people say "i wish i grew up during..." they often forget how instant communication really changed the landscape of everything. Sure i would have done way better in the late 80s early 90s before the meth hysteria and operation webtype but instant communication has made my life what it is and when it comes to the things i am into sure some of the starting areas can be a bit harder because they have made specific things harder to obtain but that only stops people who are not creative or dont know what they are doing. I am very thankful for an abundance of ground glass joints as well as Ebay and what i can find on there as that is more important then any of the other BS (never really been in an old chemistry lab but those joints look silly and not fun to work with in pictures) ;)

Having said that drug use is only as unclassy as you make it in a sense. I dont really see acts as classy or unclassy but rather dress and style. If someone had a very elegant meth pipe and wore nice clothes maybe it wouldnt look so bad? Maybe we should push for a revamping of the hard drug scene and dealers need to force dress codes among clients and speak proper. Then we can make a difference!
 
I've huffed freeon so doing drugs to be classy went out the window years ago. Wat gets me is when people using painkillers look down at heroin addicts as being'unclassy" when it's pretty much the same shit. Only difference is heroin the doctor and pharmacist is a corner dealer. Go through the withdrawals and tell me how classy painkillers are!
 
I can certainly get high-grade LSD through a close-knit group of friends. Always referred to as "Grateful Dead Family" produced LSD-25. It's high-purity, available in crystal-form, liquid "peppermint" form, and WOW/"White on White" tabs (which tend to be very potent in dose). I treasure this privileged connect and don't bring anyone in on the connect except my closet friends, which my best trips have always been with them. I keep it distant from money-hungry associates that would expose it or ruin it in one way or another. It's a magic compound I'd never tarnish. I had a similar potent Thai shroom and LSD connect prior.

It's a shame mescaline, MDA/MDMA/MDE, and other "magic" phens/trypts are of very limited availability here.

N,N-DMT is obtainable and I certainly need a K connect back in my life, ACH's are invaluable to me for their antidepressant abilities. I'd be in a much better state of mind if MXE was still available to me. MXE was a blessing in the form of an RC, as are the tryptamines i.e. 5-MeO-MiPT or 4-AcO-DMT.

Might finally have real MDMA back in my life soon too, which I hope will lead to MDA.
