So I found out about some smaller weeklies in CT, one in Stamford (yippie!) Heres the info i got from someone who does the Stamford weekly
Well there is a crew called Family which is doing Ocean Drive in South Norwalk. Which is exit 14 off i-95... bout 15 minute drive. It's kinda chill, but very good house music...
no cover and somewhat trendy dress code.... i guess that's what you'd call it... trendy? Ocean Drive happens at least once or twice a week...
but yeah, we the swing kids run a night in Stamford, called "Wednesday Nights at Apples Cafe"... a bit long but it works...
Cool vibe, and damn good house music.
also doing something called "Relax Sundays" which has been going on for more then a year, soon to find it's new home at a club called "Liquid" in SoNo... (South Norwalk)
This move won't happen until Oct 6th. The 14th is a monday which is Columbus Day.
I will definitely be attending the House weekly in Stamford on Wed. if anyone would like to join us :) When we get a car Ill definitely check out the other weeklies. I'm very happy to find some chill shows, since thats what im more into now.
Anyone care to join us? Anyone know of any other things going on in this state?

I'll have to check out all of these, especially the one's in South Norwalk. I love SoNo... it's so artsy and vibrant.
Exactly what nights is "Ocean Drive" going on?
This is ideal for me since it's relatively close to me, and I'm slowly but surely making the transition from parties to just chillin' at loungy type affairs such as these. Of course, I may still make an appearance like once a month at a party worth going to...
There's also a weekly goin' on in New London at Station 58 on Monday nights. (forgive me for not remembering the name of the event..)
Sara and I went last week. It's MAD chill!! Lots of kewl grown-ups.. lots of good dancers...LOADS of really melodic deep house you can feel in your soul.
I just wish it wasn't so far away.

im not sure what night that goes on, he said two nights a week, and that it was going on the saturday that just passed.... ill try and get some info out of him :)
 
apples is a bar, which would mean 21+ so unfortunatley i cannot attend till april :( unless someone knows a nice fake id place ;)
 
if maui gets a fake ID, i'm comin with... i hate this whole being-over-18-but-under-21 thing. i can sign for body-modifying things like piercings, and can die for my country, but i can't buy a damn drink or listen to some good house!
sorry... not much sleep lately.
 
^^ Be sure to pick me up an ID too, then. ;) It really really sucks to work at a bar, yet not be able to chill there after my shift ends... nevermind go out to other bars and clubs with the rest of the staff. 21 can't come soon enough... being 20 got boring really, really fast.

Turning 21 was like getting my driver's license; the novelty wore off and now I don't even think about it anymore. (Er, maybe that's not a good comparison. While i border on abuse of my car, i barely drink, and certainly not both at the same time!)
Station 58 is definitely a nice spot, although they used to have that creepy tryptich dominating the bar that looked like morbid Addams-family teenage girls working in a brothel. But when i was in on Friday it was gone. Anyway, in terms of music that place has possibilities.
