I had a pretty amazing experience yesterday and want to share it.
The day was emotional, but I had to rise above those emotions to complete a project. Actually, what I really did was ignore how I felt so I could function. At one point, I was very overwhelmed. I was in my living room, I threw my hands to my sides and looked up and said "GREAT SPIRIT PLEASE GUIDE ME". I just kept repeating that over and over. Some tears were in between those please. Then a calm sensation came over me, I felt myself become filled with light. I sat down, and grabbed my guitar without thinking and expressed my emotions through music. Here's the kicker. I look on the wall, and there it is. An enormous spider. I don't kill spiders, and neither does my husband...but usually I'll say "honey there's a spider!" and he'll catch it, and let it go outside. He wasn't home. This was it. It was like.... the ultimate test. If I could catch this spider and let it go outside.... then...something. I can't explain the importance of this act (it's deep and would take too long to explain) ...but it was then that I made the decision. I cupped the spider against the wall with a clear glass.... and it came and looked right at me...and I'm saying out loud to this spider "I love you, I won't hurt you, we're in this together, let's save you, I'm going to take you outside".
I get it outside successfully. I come back in and for no apparent reason, go to the bookshelf. Now I'm aware of it all. I open a book my aunt gave me that accompany Native American Medicine Cards... I'm being led to read about Spider.
I read about Spider and it's significance for coming into my life today. (Usually, you would shuffle 52 cards, each representing the spirit of a different animal, and pick and spread somewhat like a tarot card reading)
I read about card #43... the Spider. "If spider crawled into your cards today...." etc..
The explanation was exactly what I needed. This line is what touched me the most:
"The most important message from Spider is that you are an infinite being who will continue to weave the patterns of life and living throughout time"

If you want to live and thrive let the spider stay alive!

Something my mum used to say to me when i was young, evertime I see a spider I say it to myself.
