first of all im sure this has been covered but i think it would make BL much more user friendly if an opiate forum and a benzo forum were opened inside the focus forums. but thats just my opinion. and although ive only got a few posts ive been a daily user of bl but am usually able to find answers without posting.

but now i am curious. ive recently become enticed by alprazolam and enjoy a mg or so with a joint. ive tried the other basic benzos klonopin, valium, ativan. it seems as though none of these have the effect xanax has no matter how much i take. so im curious to hear from the xanax enjoyers if its worthwile to switch to phenazepam which is infinitly cheaper.

ps. i am fully aware of most peoples harm reduction input but plz dont tell me "ur tolerance is way too low to be messing around with phenazepam." i am very aware of my drug use, habits, and capabilities. ive only ever blacked out on benzos by choice.

thanx bl

We discuss opiates and benzos in Other Drugs.

There has been discussion about opening an opiate sub-forum outside of Other Drugs, and it was determined infeasible.

If you don't like diazepam or lorazepam as much as alprazolam, from what I know, phenazepam will be nothing special compared to alprazolam. Subjective reports correlate the acute effects of phenazepam to be more like lorazepam, except much longer lasting.

Be careful to use benzos only occasionally and not daily if you're using them for recreational effects. Welcome to Bluelight!

I don't know if what you're suggesting is the answer, and given that I've been here about 10 minutes (I've been lurking a few years ;)) I don't think I'm really in a position to be trying to change the forum.

That said it does seem like we could have a little more granulatiry in the Focus forums, however you achieve that.

[EDIT]
From what I've heard phenazepam has little or no euphoria, it's very very very easy to overdose and people who use it often wake up and it's 3 days later and they're not sure whats happened.

That's why we have prefixes on threads now, so you can search for what you're looking for easier. :)

Sold! And to be quite honest, there's very little mystery to benzos now, probably doesn't warrent a new forum, most people are perfectly capable of using them responsibly.

That's my opinion, but this forum sees plenty of people who have had issues using benzos medicinally and not habitually.

I personally have known one person in real life to have a serious benzodiazepine addiction. They did not end up well at all. :\

For me personally, it's easy to use benzos medicinally, because I can go days without them. :)

Captain:
The worst case of benzo addiction I've seen was pretty nasty. In brief, my mates Dad is an insomniac. Doc put him on vals, built a resistance, they put him on another, and another.

The guy fuck lines up about about 6 different chemicals, benzos, anti-psychotics, god knows what else. About 3 pills of each because of his resistace, we're talking a substantial number of pills here...poor git still didn't get any sleep. Aparently if he was to go cold turkey it would kill him.

No, for me benzos are purly utilitarian, if you're taking psychedelics and you want to smooth the edges or you want to get to sleep after a long night on the stims, crack open the bottle of benzos.

Well I believe Phenazepam is alot longer-lasting than Alprazolam, so the obvious is it may leave you with a lingering drowsy or dissociated feeling the next day. The only very long acting benzos I've tried are clonazepam which I never got a buzz off of at a dose of 3.5mg, and Diazepam which is actually a good high except for I seem to experience very deep depression occasionally wehich is very odd. Phenazepam is most likely another long acting benzo that you really have to judge for yourself because I've noticed different effects in many individuals when it comes to benzos.

I just wanted to add that i have ABSOLUTELY noticed that diazepam can cause me to experience a profound depression every once in awhile.
It is exactly as you described-I quite enjoy the effects most of the time, but every once in awhile I will try it an as soon as I begin to feel it, I will fall into a strong depressive and angry state for the duration of the day. It is the only benzo which has caused this. Quite odd. DG
