Dunno if it's been done yet or not, or even if this would be the best place to do it, but I'm a selfless kind of person, I seek only to serve the people. From the gun thread in CE+P:

Is there a thread here just for the appreciation of guns, without the gun control debate?

Over to you guys!

I love guns. When I hold my Glock in my hand, the feeling of raw power, knowing I could destroy whatever I point my weapon at, that's when I really feel a man.

That's a bit mean. If I could, I probably would own guns. It just seemed like the obvious cheap shot might as well be got out of the way sooner rather than later.

^Yeah, I mean, if they don't feel comfortable shooting guns off, how will they ever manage to fuck a woman?

Using firearms in general is a fun activity. I typically stay toward shotguns and hand arms, I'm not accurate enough for precision refile shooting with larger rounds. I don't think I've shot a rifle round any bigger than a 30.06, and that one was still quite a bruiser. .22's are a little small for my tastes, kinda like a pellet gun hopped up on 'roids.

^ I like it cos .22 rimfire rounds are dirt cheap and I can shoot at home. I can't be bothered to drive 40 mins to the range to shoot higher cals (ATM). I have very old and luckily deaf neighbours and one neighbour I know and is fairly tolerant to my shooting. The one person who did complain I very calmy took apart his arguement for him and showed him why it made no sense he just said "jaaaaaaaa well" and left, had prob 30 years on me too.

I just need money, I'd love to silence maybe a 9 mm or a .223 or for my yard, .308, 7.62 or .45 ACP would be pushing it I reckon. (would obviously have to add more steel plates + boxes of phonebooks) and I don't reckon I'm getting that kind of money this year.

I've always seen firearms as part and parcel with the Ralph Waldo Emerson "Self-Reliance" type of life-style. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gearing up for the next American Revolution :D

It can be an expensive hobby, and a bit of a pain depending on where you live. But luckily Im out in Nevada and there's shooting ranges everywhere. But even better than that...Im only about two blocks away from some pretty vast expanses of desert, and me and my pals can just go unload a few rounds there. Dropping some Datura and heading to the desert to shoot is infinitely more enjoyable than heading to the range.

Lately it's been all Wilson Combat for the AR's and Nighthawk Custom 1911's as far as handguns/concealed carry goes. They're beautiful...real works of art

I grew up shooting but haven't really been active in a decade or more. Was thinking about buying a Browning 1911 just because of it's historical coolness. If I had the cash I'd buy an old AK-47 and hang it as an art piece.

While I don't particularly want to list what I have on here, I will say that I enjoy firearms. Precision full power rifle shooting is my favorite.

Sometimes it can be expensive, depending on what kind of rounds you're buying

Yeah, the $1 per round for rifle cartridges is a limiting factor. I managed to buy a bunch of surplus a while ago for $0.50 a cartridge, still expensive though. .22LR is cost effective, and the rifle is light, but range and the fact that it's too weak for hunting are the downsides.

i miss my old colt 45 auto she was more beautiful than any chick i've ever seen
