Hey, I know there's a few hiphop fans on here

I have kind of lost touch with alot of fresh good quality hiphop over the last while but always find myself going back to some older albums that I have stored on my computer.

I hate the way the whole rap scene has gone in the last ten years, its lost all substance thanks to all this commercial rnb pish that you see plastered all over TV and everywhere you look, but thats not the type of music I am trying to get on this thread, strictly hiphop.

You should check out some Aesop Rock and Sage Francis. Eydea and Ablilities are pretty good too.
 
I'm not massive into hip hop. I like a few artists though, more specifically just a few albums.

Roots Manuva has a lot of good stuff. I'll give those tracks a listen now.

sage francis is pretty cool


hehe i remember eye dea from 1999 scribble jam, he beat a MC called 'peace' in the freestyle battle final thing
 
talib kweli is a great artist! it says its not available to copyright restrictions in this country just to get by, why is this :(
 
i love talib, he is one of my fave

and all the blackstar albums (talib kweli and mos def)

that vid is working in ireland, maybe try search a diff copy of it on youtube
 
fuck all new stuff that i'm bothered with, although, i like the 'c.r.a.c knuckles' stuff!

the 7" they did with budamunky is class! and 'crachause' off their album is top as well!

oh yeah, and that 'james pants' remix of 'Baron Zen - Strange Woman's Room' is great!
 
I've not really listened to hiphop for years. But nothing beats it for croozing in my ride, smoking a phattie soapbar joint-ey and nodding at the bitches when i roll past in my 1.2, YEAH BWOY!

i actually think some of dizze rascals stuff is fucking quality - not that particular one but he has some pretty cool beats / lyrics
