I am left staring at a blank wall
For the first time in my life
I am left speechless
It was all just a dream
Or was it?
If it was really a dream
Nobody wake me,
For this is too good to be real.
This dream led me to places
I have not seen in years
In a short period of time
We traveled to many destinations
And in our journey we shared
Emmotions that I have not
Expressed in what can be
Considered a lifetime..
It was a novel without chapters
A novel that will end
Only when we let it end
But really, it is a dream
For it is truly is
Nobody wake me,
This is too good to be real.
Waves crashing on the shore
Stars peeking from the foggy sky
A sunrise no artist could paint
My eyes begin to water up
For I know it is only a dream
But if I had one wish
I ask you do not wake me,
‘Cause this is too good to be real.
Alas, the dream has come to an end
I am finally awaken
Reality must sit in
And even though it was just a dream
I can look back, reflect, allow a tear to
Fall and smile,
‘Cause when the dust has merged
It was not a dream, but she was real.
