Will that day ever come?!?
When I can feel that presence once again.
When I can hold one as my own,
To have against my chest,
Hearts melding,
No fears or worries
To have this heart safe in worthy hands.
Someone to cuddle, when the world is lost.
Have you rest your head in my lap.
Run my fingers through your hair.
Dazed into tranced eyes till reality, time and space matter no more.
To hold till life loses meaning.
Someone to bring peace to this maniacal mind.
One to calm the demons that wrestle my sanity-
Too many thoughts, too much seen, too many secrets.
Skating the lines of normal and outright possession.
Maybe one day she will put the voices aside,
The screaming fire trucks will no longer twirl through my mind
My soul will no longer cry like bagpipes into the darkness
And maybe I’ll see myself whole in the mirror again.
Realize that life is good,
Shaking hands will have stopped.
I can stand strong.
Form has returned
And maybe I’m not so cynical after all.
My arms call to hold again,
Maybe one day – someday – I don’t think its today though.
