For opiate potentiation, which would seem to be a better benzo to use?

Tetrazepam is rumored to be the best muscle relaxant benzo, even better than Valium, yet lacks any real anxiolytic properties.

Alprazolam seems to be more euphoric and comforting, yet not as much of a muscle relaxant.

Ive read that muscle relaxation is one of the most significant ways benzos synergize with opiates, so thats why i was leaning towards the Tetrazepam.

To clear things up, the opiate i am potentiating is codeine, which i guess could change things a bit if we were talking about liver enzyme inhibitors/inducers, but i think this is more of a synergy question.

Any help is much appreciated BLers <3

i've taken tetrazepam but never with opioids, alprazolam on the other hand i've combined with weaker opioids like codeine, tramadol, tilidine and dihydrocodeine and the high was always better than the sum of its parts. it goes great with heroin. tetrazepam on its own is absolutely not enjoyable at all. i have no idea if it synergizes well with opiods. baclofen for example, which also has strong muscle relaxant properties i've taken with smack. it was a nice addition to it, and since it's not really enjoyable on its own, tetrazepam might be the same

that being said, be very, very careful when mixing those. low doses and all that. mixing cns depressants can be very dangerous.

^ The first time I actually did tetrazepam was when I was in Germany. It is very common there, along with oxazepam. I didn't really think much of tetrazepam and I never mixed it with an opioid so I don't know what that would be like. I assume it wouldn't be too different from other benzo/opioid mixtures. Neither alprazolam nor tetrazepam are on my list of favorite benzos, so....

I also wouldn't say that tetrazepam is the best muscle relaxant of all benzos. It's a great muscle relaxant for sure - at least on par with diazepam but there are better ones out there. Nitrazepam is a better one (I personally think nitrazepam is the best benzo muscle relaxant). I think temazepam is on par, as is bromazepam.

yeah tetrazepam is usually prescribed instead of carisoprodol, because even though carisoorodol is still around it's almost never prescribed. i have some nasty back pain sometimes, and when i asked for carisoprodol my doc looked at me like i wanted straight up diacetylmorphine from him. i got tetrazepam and first thought since it's a benzo it might be a bit of fun, but after a quick google search and eating a whole bar (i think they were 100mg but i'm not sure) i felt almost nothing of the effects almost all other benzos bring. not enjoyable at all. i just walked funny.

^ Yeah it is a very weak benzo. It has all the effects of a regular benzo, but you can not really feel any of it. I took the 50 mg tablets (but I took like 8 of them and still felt absolutely nothing but muscle relaxation).
