Testing The Testing Kit?

I need some help, i need to know if my testing kit is real/functional, some reaction i can do with normal house hold meds perhaps? like a reaction with tylonol maybe? any help would be apriciated, it didnt smoke or anything when i put it on nyquil with dxm.

the only guarenteed reactions with a Marquis reagent are with MDxx/Speed/2CB so get yourself one of those substances and you'll know...
i'd suspect that the Nyquil didn't have that much DXM in it, not when compared to a DXM pill, which is usually very concentrated.
you won't get any proper reaction from anything lying around the house. so either get some illegal pills and test it or just wait till you have them...
which kit was it? an EZ Test or Dance safe or whatever?

One of the best ways to test the 'potency' of your Marquis reagent is to use some Asprin. Asprin will turn a bright red over a few minutes, so it's a good easy check. Bet not many people knew that hey?!
In addition, if the colour approaches a 'light beer' shade, you should consider getting another one. From my experience the colour is more likely to affect your reading of the result than the reagent not actually reacting. One of the problems is that since just sulphuric acid will turn a sample of MDMA purple, as the reagent goes weaker, you won't get a huge difference in responses to MDMA, but it will affect your selectivity without you knowing it. That's why I recomend using Asprin, and ditching it after it goes too brown.
