Tested positive for heroin damm codeine

It did not even cross my mind when i applied for a new job in which i had to do a urine sample and tested positive for heroin/opioids although I'm prescribed by my doctor 8 x solpadol (codeine) 30/500 per day but as i did not have my prescription to hand and they wouldn't take my word for it whilst i was at the interview i got turned down and felt quite ashamed that they would not let me bring evidence of the medication i was on...i have never and never will attempt to do heroin I'm just disgusted at how i got looked down at like that...

You need to disclose any medications you are on prior to the test. Don't worry too much about their perception of you. It means fuck all.

Codeine shows up in a drug test as morphine, doesn't it?

It's strange to me that it would disqualify you for a job in the UK, as codeine formulations are OTC there...

Yeah it does. Same thing happened to a friend from lean.

I would compare it to states in the US discriminating against MMJ patients when it comes to jobs and housing. Where I live, even if you had a card saying you could smoke, they could still evict you. I'm not too up to date on the laws but that's what I was told. With jobs you can still be denied.

Kinda sucks when people in power impose their misguided views on other people, huh

when you are prescribed opiates your are looked at as a piece of filth by the rest of society.

the people giving you the test probably don't even know that codeine and heroin are related compounds, so good luck arguing that.
