Temazepam - How Does It Compare?

I have plenty of experience with klonopin, valium and ativan. (clonazepam, diazepam and lorazepam respectively). I have never taken temazepam before. Can anyone describe its effects in terms of the three I have experienced? I find none of the benzos I've taken to date have put me to sleep. All have HELPED, if I was already tired. The only way I'd actually pass out if I wasn't already really tired was to add alcohol to the mix. Recently I have been having some insomnia (probably from my aggressive Oxy taper) and my doc just script'd me 60 x 15mg temazepam to help with sleep.
 
Temazepam is a more hypnotic benzo than the other ones you've described, it will probably help more than lorazepam (Ativan) or clonazepam (Klonopin).
 
I have to say, I am looking forward to trying it, but I don't want to be stupid about it. I usually take 3-4mg of clonazepam or 40-50mg of diazepam to help me sleep. The equivalent dose of temazepam to my usual clonazepam dose is 160mg. (.5mg clonazepam = 20mg temazepam according to the charts I've seen) But if it is more hypnotic than clonazepam I'd of course want to take less. My doctor has script'd 15-30mg, and I very well may just try the 30mg tonight. However any personal experiences from members here is appreciated. Specifically how does it interact with oxycodone and/or alcohol?

Benzos and Oxy go well if you have a Tolerance for both but i would leave Alcohol out of the mix.
 
Desirable dream-like state of awareness, very pronounced muscle relaxation (similiar to diazepam, but better IMO) and it could be considered a body high, very pronounced and unique euphoria unlike any other benzodiazpine I've taken, and the only benzo I've taken orally that had a very noticeable "rush" of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. I wouldn't mix temazepam with anything other than weed and/or opiates. Particularly IME, oxycodone goes along with temazepam quite nicely btw.
 
You will need to take 90-120 mg to really get high IMO. It's really just another benzo though; sedation, relaxation and anxiolysis

One interesting thing about it is that it's soluble in water, the only benzo that is AFAIK
 
temezapam is next to my favorite benzo. look forward to more memory loss especially if you decide to have a beer with the dose. not a mircle drug for sleep though especially if you have tolerance which it sounds like you do. short halflife so you wont feel groggy next morning after large dosing at night. advise if you are looking for extending the halflife tagamate works wonders and I find it a blessing

Is bad form to advise someone to take that much temazepam in one go, it is better than most benzos, and 30 - 60mg seems to be great for anxiety and/or sleep.

Oh and it is more soluble in water than most benzos, but it is really not very soluble in water at all, think you would need something like a litre to dissolve a few mg, so not really very soluble.

Midazolam on the other hand is very soluble in water and is also more euphoric and a much better benzo for recreation than temazepam IME.
 
Temazepam is the best benzo IMO,you get right off your trolly on em,it`s a real euphoric high like your flying on a wibbly wobbly rollercoaster...Lets just say its the favourite with Heroin users followed closely by Nitrazepam.Be careful though as the amnesia is ver pronounced and taking too much is easily done.
 
In my opinion , I've never been all that impressed. While on my 5th day of insomnia i took 30mg..did almost nothing.. then again in order to pass out i took 50mg seroquel shortly there after and i still didn't sleep great so who knows, maybe i'm judging unfairly. i still have a bunch, perhaps i'll take a few tomorrow..matter of fact i'm gonna see if i can't go ahead and change my opinion.. seems like everyone has good things to say except me...i also like lorazepam quite a bit which a ton of folks i know hate ..perhaps i just have a crappy taste in benzos:\
 
Well I took 90mg on an empty stomach, then ate, took 60mg more, then 45 minutes later another 60mg. Feels ... weak. I had 20mg oxy too, but that was all I had left. Maybe if I stopped playing Deus Ex 2 and layer down I'd feel it more.
 
I didn't even know temazepam was classed as a benzo till recently I'd have called it a sleeping pill. I got some recently and two 30mg capsules gave me a nice nod probably with some weed beforehand but recreational tolerance grows quick. They're probably more useful for they'r legit purpose. Oh and get Hypnotil brand over Restotil if you have those two choices. Think there's some made by TEVA but I haven't had those. Nor have I tried the 20mg "eggs" that people rave about but I think they are different to what they used to be.
 
I never found temazepam to be very strong or worthwhile, maybe comparable in strength to lorazepam but slightly different in effect. I prefer clonazepam a lot more. And I never get euphoria from benzos.
 
Seeing as the OP took his temazepam and this is turning into a subjective discussion I'm going to close it.
