I am working on a research project in which we are looking at moral panic and the illustrations of drugs (both legal and illegal highs, not including alcohol or tobacco), their users and dealers as portrayed on television. I am looking for a list of shows and documentaries that have been aired on television to the American public - although the program can be about other cultures or countries using drugs (ie Drugs Inc on Hallucinogens in South America.) Please post any programs that you can think of, as I am making an exhaustive list! So far I have the following:
Taboo: Altered States (not aired yet?)**

Taboo: Narcotics
Taboo: Shooting Heroin Legally
History Channel: Peyote to LSD
Hooked: Illegal drugs and how they got this way (2000)** (Opium, Morphine and Heroin) History Channel

National Geographic – Mind Altering Drugs
Drugs Inc. – National Geographic
Crackheads Gone Wild – DOC Netflix (low budget film) DVD
Scared Straight – DOC Netflix
Behind the Orange Curtain
Frontline PBS- The Meth Epidemic
Clearing the Smoke The Science of Cannabis Montana – PBS DOC
Crank – Darkness on the Edge of Town
The Science of Marijuana – PBS DOC
DMT: The Spirit Molecule 2010 DOC
The World’s Scariest Drug – The Devil’s Breath Columbia DOC (Barumdonga) VICE
Again, the documentary of television series MUST have been shown on television at some point in time. It must not be part of a larger series such as 60 minutes, True Life or 20/20 and no reality TV shows (ie Weed Wars). Must be informative style programs.
In addition the documentaries and series' must be from 2007 - present.
