I'm not sure when the zeitgeist surrounding Taylor Swift's music changed. Indie outlets seem to praise her as often as they can. I checked out folklore whenever it came out, though it didn't capture me as particularly tremendous or impressive music.
The intention of this thread isn't to bash her or her music. I am genuinely curious if the consensus is that she makes quality music these days.
I enjoy seeing artists like Japanese Breakfast and Weyes Blood break out. I wish that could happen to someone like Laura Marling, who I believe is far and away one of the best artists of the last 15 years.
