Heroin Taste of heroin

I know smell and taste vary with gear, but my question is, if the dark brown powder I have tastes acidic(and I mean acidic in the sense of quite sharp, I would liken it to battery acid almost, vinegar......does this mean I have a tar variety? *NOTE- I don't mean that it burned my tongue like battery acid would, I just mean it had a rancid taste kind of like vinegar. I've heard others liken the taste to what battery acid would taste like so I used that analogy.
