I've taken ghb for a week straight before and suffered dearly with my sleeping pattern
and going to work the next day. I am a carpenter, and my job require dexterity and physical strength.
I notice when taking ghb in the evening, i was not able to sleep without a dose before bed,
then re-dosing afterwards, if i awoke 3.5-4 hours later. I noticed lastnite, i took a dose at roughly
11:30 pm, and awoke at 5am , but feeling very groggy and nauseous. I did smoke alot of weed this weekend,
but do not usually feel like this. Today I did not go to work, because of the symptoms i was feeling
this morning. Now I want to know, if i was to take ghb, early in the day, lets say 1pm for a work out, will the dopamine rebound
affect me later, when i attempt to fall asleep? I'm really just trying to avoid the whole dosing before bed,
because i do feel groggy the next day, as appose to everyone else that feels refreshed.
Can anyone fill me in on this?

I'm sorry I cant answer your question specifically but i just wanted to chime in on two things. First don't you think it is really dangerous to dose GHB before lifting weights? That seems like a reckless combination to me. If you must do this combo then just please be careful, which I'm sure you are I just see a big chance of major bodily harm if you aren't alert and cautious when lifting heavy. Secondly I think if your taking GHB for a week straight and you are already beginning to notice disturbances to your sleep pattern, I believe this is a sign of dependence and that you are heading down a dangerous road. I don't know for sure but if GHB withdrawal is anything like alcohol and benzo withdrawal then you are entering a really dangerous situation. Just please reevaluate how important GHB is and if you really need to dose it as much as you have been, can you not moderate your dosages to less frequent?

GHB activates the pituitary gland which causes the secretion of the somatotropic hormone (growth hormone). This is why it's very popular amongst body builders.

The mistake your doing is taking he GHB prior to your excercise as opposed to after your excercise, to promote muscle recovery through growth hormone secretion. You can also limit your dosing prior to sleep, allowing you even more benefit since GHB induces REM sleep, which causes low muscle tone, which in turn additively aids muscle recovery.

Narcoleptics use Xyrem (GHB) in twice a night dosing for narcolepsy without suffering any addiction or withdrawal. If you can follow that protocol than GHB can be your friend, if you find yourself daytime dosing for recreation, to ease stress, for sex etc than you don't want it all together as it can become a nasty habit. GHB withdrawals can be deadly.

No GHB should not effect ur sleep in fact it helps you sleep easier, Say if you take GHB 30m-60m before you go to bed people say it helps them sleep alot easier.

althought in your case you are doing it alot earlier in the day so i dont know if it will still have the same effect by the time you go to sleep, but I definately dont see it doing anything negative in terms of you getting to sleep....
