I took 60mg of vyvanse about 12hrs ago and the effects have completely worn off at this point. I'm feeling pretty tired and groggy and wondering if it will be safe/effective to take 54mg of concerta to combat the exhaustion. I believe I read somewhere that concerta blocks dopaminne receptors so its not a good idea, but the vyvans have worn off now even if they are not completely eliminated from my system. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! :)

Probably not a good idea. Throwing in a dose of methylphenidate after amphetamines will most likely not give you the positive result that you're looking for. It will probably just make your comedown more shaky, jittery, tachychardic etc. There is a whole continuum of stimulants that people use starting with Methamphetamine and ending somewhere along the lines of caffeine in coffee or tea.

Does your morning coffee get you up and ready for work, maybe provide a little bit of mental simulation? It won't do shit after dosing a stronger stimulant like the substances mentioned above.

It might pep you up, the logic is there. The'yre both stimulants, but I feel like you will ultimately feel better by not taking any more stimulants.

I suppose that makes sense, I also only have a few more hours to get through before I can relax anyway and concerta always keeps me up for a long time even after the euphoric effects stop. I will just drink a coffee to try to keep me atleast functioning til then and save the concerta for a future date :) thanks for the quick reply!
