Cocaine Taking cocaine while on antidepressants

Hey guys! Thanks for taking the time to read my first post. I need some advice, and I realize this is the perfect place. I have anxiety so I'm on Effexor, Depakote and Klonopin. I also intend on doing cocaine sometime soon with *extreme caution*. Some people I spoke to said I probably wouldn't feel the full effects of the coke due to the meds I'm already taking. Is this true? Thanks!!!

That is true, and it may put you at an elevated risk for seizure, serotonin syndrome, or heart complications. I would highly advise against it.

I would also do quite a bit more reading about interactions than any advice you'll get in this thread..but, personally, I was on citalopram, an SSRI for quite a while and when I used coke while on it, I barely felt anything at all whatsoever, and I had some degree of experience with coke before the SSRI and now after...it definitely muted it.

I was taking citalopram and fluoxetine and one point too (but only for about 3 months as I felt they did nothing) and it didn't affect me, did have some real shitty suicidal comedowns though..if i'd have known then what I know now, I wouldn't have mixed the 2.

I take depekote doxepin and klonopin and am also prescribed 60mg of ritalin a day so you should be fine. I just would suggest you dont go over board on the coke

Bear in mind that the leaflet that comes with Mirtazapine and/or venlafaxine also says that you should't mix the two antidepressants as you're at a higher risk to have serotonin syndrome. As we know it, psychiatrists prescribe both drugs together, so I guess the serotonin syndrome risk should be taken with a grain of salt? I'm on mirtazapine and venlafaxine for 3 weeks now and I only did coke once (3 lines). Very mild effects, but the guy I did it with usually has bad blow so I attribute it to that.

Any data on this? You're talking about serotonin syndrome?
