Vertex pharma is getting lose to approving this drug. Anyone tried it and can anyone comment on the mechanism of action as being possible an effecting analgesia?

The phase two trial shows no improvement over placebo but chronic pain is sort of becoming an orphan disease now that opioids are de facto banned in western medicine; so I would not be surprised if it gets rammed through. It wouldn’t be the first time drugs with such mediocre trial results received approval. They are also talking about redesigning the phase z3 trial to get the results they “want” (ie it improved pain).
